Wont start i just bought a dryer and when i attempted to start the dryer it blew a fuse.. so i replaced the fuse and started up no problem... the next morning i went to start the dryer it almost started and then died.. now wont start.. i checked the fuses and replaced them (they looked fine) didnt trip the fuse box.. what gives?
the door is fine, heats up great once its running.. i plugged my old dryer in to see if it was the outlet.. started right up no problem... so im sure its the new dryer. how do i check to see if its "grounding out"?

Did you check the door switch, and the heating element(make sure it's not grounding out, check to make sure you have 120volts coming in on both legs-mike
did you check the blower box to make sure something is not stuck in it keeping the motor from turning?also check where the powercord is connected to make sure it's wired right-mikedid you check the blower box to make sure something is not stuck in it keeping the motor from turning?also check where the powercord is connected to make sure it's wired right-mike

Sounds like you have a blown thermal fuse. This happens when you have a restricted/blocked exhaust vent. Jump/bypass it, if it works make sure to clear exhaust vent or it will blow again.
Also the door switch - not common
I would check your venting and also replace your cycle thermostat (4 wire therm) mounted right next to the thermal fuse. If you have a clear vent and new cycle therm this will take care of the problem. part number on the cycle therm is 3387134
The thermal limit/fuse is located on the rear bulkhead inside upper right hand corner. I recommend cleaning the dryer and vent, inspecting the innards for clues as to why the dryer fuse blew. Usually an air restriction of some sort. I have some photos and a repair manual HERE
you nead the unplug the dryer and pull the dryer away from the wall to get to the back panal.next remove the vent hosefrom the dryer.next remove the back panal and the power cord cover.if you look down and to the left you will see a white plastic thermal fuse.remove the wires from the fuse and check that it is closed.if it is open the replace the fuse and reassemble dryer.
check the wiring too the tailgate it very common for it to break up and tuch other wires, also check trailer socket wiring,if it has one it will be a black wire and a brown one for the side lights.Good luck Davelee
