You have two options with closed caption feature.
Captions of Text
A caption is a printed version of a dialogue narration and/or sound effects of a programme. Text is information not related to the programme that appears on half of the TV screen when available.

To view Caption or Text

[1] Select the desired programme. Closed captioned programme are usually marked in your local TV listing as "CC"
[2] Press CAPTION/TEXT repeatedly to select caption or text mode.
[3] Press 1/2 to select the caption or text channel.
[4] To turn to off the closed caption feature, press CAP/TEXT repeatedly until captions or text no longer display 0n-screen.

Try unplugging and replugging the TV to cause reboot. After reboot do a scan for digital channels.

Unless BOTH TV's are tuned to same channel, then it will pick up a different channel. There are no master slave, one antenna can provide a myriad of channels. to many TV's.

It sounds like the TV has re-mapped the channels incorrectly. You possibly can contact Toshiba to see if there is a firmware/software upgrade that will fix this issue. If there is you may be able to download the software off of their website and install yourself. Just make sure if that is the case follow the directions carefully. try cpc they have alot of spares or ebay .

Auto search button might be stuck/ jamed in cabinet. release it and Prog. buttons will be work.
