Remove batteries from room stat, turn off the electrical supply to reciever unit.
Turn back on the electric to reciever unit, the red light should be
on,press the top "manual" button, the green light should come on and
boiler should fire (assuming the programmer is in an "on" period)
Press the bottom button, and keep it pressed, then press the top button
until the green light flashes, stand about 6 feet away, and refit the
batteries to the stat while observing the reciever unit, either the red
or green light (cant remember which) should flash to show the 2 units
are syncronised.
Another basic test if all seems ok,when turning the stat up or down, when
the green light on the reciever unit comes on or goes off,its usually
accompanied by an audible "click" ive found, that if this is not
happening, the reciever unit does not switch either on or off,may be
intermittant.
Replacement is the only cure. garden led light

CHECK MAKE SURE BATTERY FULLY CHARGED IT HAS TO BE 12.5 VOLTS BEFORE THE BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK SOLENOID WORKS.IF BATTERY POWER GOOD CHECK BRAKE LIGHTS TO SEE IF BRAKE LIGHTS SWITCH IS WORKING.IF NO CHECK FUSE.IF FUSE GOOD BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH IS FAULTY. IT CONTROL THE BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT SOLENOID ALSO THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH.IF FUSE AND BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH IS GOOD.YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE A FAULTY NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH OR BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT SOLENOID FAULTY.
First check all of your fuses with a test light. When you hooked the cables up backwards something shorted and a fuse is blown. Once you replace the bad fuses the lights and everythinmg should go back to normal operation.
As a sanity check run a temporary wire directly from the battery positive to the radio. Twist the red and yellow wires together and connect it to the wire from the battery. If this works either your red or yellow wire connection under the dash or to the harness is not hot like you think. Yellow usually goes to a constant 12 volt source (to keep radio memory) and the red wire to 12volts when the ignition is on. In some radios this is reversed. The test I mentioned will determin if the problem is in the wiring or the radio.
you probably just pressed the DISP button on accident (its on the lower right hand corner of the screen)
to turn the screen back on, push the DISP button.
if that doesnt work, i would get it looked at by people at Canon.
