Bright Adjust! I downgraded my VGN-FZ190N from Vista to XP Pro SP3, everything seems normal except that i can not adjust the brightness of the LCD by the combination of Fn + F5/F6 (the function key Fn work normal). The graphic board is NVIDIA Geforce 8400M GT. Give me your idea about this. Thanks in advance.

You can set the camera's "exposure compensation" to a higher number.

Sorry,your notebook only support Windows Vista,So sony doesn't have driver for windows XP. 
Try Windows 7,it's lot better then Windows Vista. All the drivers for Windows Vista will work with Windows 7.

not a problem in xp sp3 under the device manager in system properties you will have a yellow circle and black exclamation mark and probably say unknown device or ethernet device. right click go to properties and in details tab you will see Device ID.. we can track OEM driver from this.

go to sony site try to download driver for that it needs a driver bcoz these machines are truly made for Vista now u downgraded it u will have to spend some time for finding drivers individually

Its a driver incompatibility issue. Many hardware components designed for Vista are incompatible with XP. This means that the Realtek audio driver may be the Vista version. Also, some hardware has of yet no XP drivers, so your audio components were designed for Vista only.
While it may be possible to "force" the driver to work, it may involve a number of hacks to the Windows registry and other files.

Hi! What do you mean by what is the "name" of the amilo? It is a fujitsu siemens brand or you ment something else? As for downgrade, you can downgrade vista to xp if you got pro/ultimate of vista, if it came with vista home however, then you won't manage to do that. As for your hardware, well there speaks nothing against downgrading to xp as long as you have the xp drivers for your hw. You may run into audio problems though under xp sp3 if you are using the default hw setup of amilo. Please provide a full detail of your hw if you want to know whether all your hw has drivers for xp sp3. Let me know if this answered your questions :)

I had the same problem with my HP LCD. I'll turn on the monitor and it will run auto adjust and set everything to the max making the screen very bright. What I did was remove the button panel board and put it back. Everything works fine since then.

If the LCD screen is too bright or too dark, adjust the LCD Brightness setting in the Setup Menu. If you are shooting photos outdoors in bright light, move the joystick to the icon showing the sun over shaowed area to turn on Outdoor mode and make the LCD screen easier to see in bright light.

You can adjust the brightness or color of the LCD display as needed. 1. Set the POWER switch to CAMERA position. (In the PLAYER mode, you may only setup the LCD while the tape is playing.) 2. Open the LCD screen, and the LCD switches on. 3. Press the MENU button. 4. Turn the MENU DIAL so that VIEWER is highlighted and then press the ENTER button. 5. Turn the MENU DIAL so that LCD ADJUST is highlighted. 6. Press the ENTER button to enter the sub-menu. 7. Turn the MENU DIAL so that it highlights the menu item you want to adjust (BRIGHT SELECT, BRIGHT ADJUST, COLOR ADJUST). 8. Press the ENTER button again. You may select NORMAL or SUPER in the BRIGHT SELECT feature and press the ENTER button to save the setting. Use the MENU DIAL to adjust the value of BRIGHT ADJUST and COLOR ADJUST. You can set values for BRIGHT ADJUST between 00 ~ 35 and COLOR ADJUST between 00 ~ 35. 9. Press the MENU button to finish the setting.
