I need to reassemble my rainbow e series electrified hose handle

To remove a blockage, I disassembled the electrified hose handle to my rainbow e series vacuum. I put everything back in place except one black wire. This black wire connects at one end to the metal hose piece that extends out the front of the handle and is about 10 inches long. The end not connected to the metal hose has about 1/2 inch of exposed bare wire and my question is, where does this exposed wire end connect? Is it a ground wire?

Yes, it is a ground wire. When you put it back together, make sure that the two halves of the hose handle are holding the wire up against the metal. I just had one apart the other day for the first time and if I recall correctly, the wire goes near the center for reassembly. Hope this helps!

Where do I get an adapter for my rainbow shampooer

This really depends on what Rainbow you have and which Aquamate you are using. There really is not an adapter for the Aquamate. The newest aquamate out there is for the E2 type 12 black that came out in 2012.

There is a modification of this aquamate to fit older E series vacuums (comes with a cord) , but you will need to have an electrified hose made for water pick up to use. You can find that aquamate here

How does the nonelectric hose detach from the wand on rainbow e series to connect to aquamate

Rainbow E Series attachment hoses fit the wand with friction. The wand will just twist and pull out of an attachment hose. Now for use with an Aquamate, if you have the newest aquamate like here:
Rainbow AquaMate 3 carpet shampooer , the aquamate needs an electrified hose made for water pickup and a stainless steel long pipe (stainless steel so it will not rust, you can use chrome but it will rust) .

How do I attatch the power nozzel to the e series rainbow vaccuum? it seems there is cord attatched to the nozzel : I can't figure out where this plugs in??>?

One of your hoses also has a cord that goes the length of the hose. Up at the handle end the cord goes to your handle. At the end that plugs into the unit, the cord plugs into the unit just under the hose hole. You should also have a hose with no cord that is used with the bare floor brush and other attachments.

How do i put the wand back together on a rainbow e-series ?

The wire schematics in the handle assembly has four total wires. Two from the hose and two from the Receptacle Nozzle. Take one wire from the hose and one wire from the receptacle and connect together. Take the second wire from the hose and connect to the Switch Handle PN2E PN2. Take the second wire from the receptacle and connect to the other switch terminal. If you need more details, you can download the schematics at Rainbow Vacuum Schematics or you can call us at 800-523-0510.

Rainbow power head dusty

Have you checked the channel from the brush roll area to the hose for blockage? Dust accumulation is usually a sure sign of an obstruction.

Rainbow water not spinning

All Rainbows - remove the hose and turn it on without the hose plugged in - if works better - hose is clogged

If it works bad even with the hose out:
E-series Rainbow - take HEPA filter cartridge and try then. If helps - you need new HEPA (you can get it here)

SE Rainbow vacuums - remove exhaust cap
moz-screenshot.jpg9f8f4ab.jpg
and you may find a dirty sponge in there - just remove it and it may help.

If none of that made any difference - you may need it to be checked. If you do not mind shipping - our info is HERE
