An outdated computer system would malfuntion after installing a new graphic card because is incompartible. Hi, try the Realtrek AC'97 sound driver, its free to down load from a google search.

It's not virus. I think your Audio Driver got error. Try reinstall driver for your audio device and it will work again!

This is a common os error in XP. You need to backup, then run a windows repair.

Select 'Device Drivers'.
Select 'XP'.

Hi there.

I had to install WindowsXP from scratch, due to a virus infection. After complete installation of the WindowsXP, I installed all the drivers from the disc that was included with the motherboard. Yet for some reason, when I open windows media player, there is no sound device. What seems to be the problem?
