Printer dos not work !

I brought this printer yesterday, Canon, PIXMA, MP 240

- On light is keep blinking
- same with ALRAM (blinking)
- Ont the display screen all i see is "P" and 3" keep blinking..

On the printing Reports;
""""Service error 6000
cancel printing off and then on again
If this does not clear error, see the printer manual for details""""

I tried turning off..on... tried all possible option i can think of.. still no progress ??

I would take it right back and exchange it

Pixma mp 240 does not recognize cl 211 and 210

Hello , i have the same problem but vice versa. i bought my printer with the 210 and 211 cartridge and i bought now the 510 and 511 and the printer wont recognize them . all i know is that my printer is specially made for canada thats why it works only with 210 and 211 , so urs must be european because 510 and 511 are the cartridges for the european version of this printer . i've tried so hard to trick the printer so accept this cartridges but its not working . did u find a solution in the mean time ? i could really use some advice

I have a canon mp 240 printer. it keeps saying there is a paper jam, but there is none. it also says ALARM. well the light is on. what do i do?

Just had this problem. I ran a stiff piece of cardboard through the paper feed and it dislodged the remanents of a bug. Works fine now. Will make sure I keep it covered. Hate printers.

Canon Pixma MP 240 keeps blinking E4

E4 just says the ink is empty, Either your ink is gone , or you have a defective cartridge.

The lights are on even thought the cartridges are replaced

You probably have bad cartridges.
Email Canon and see if they won't send you replacements.

Error message that blinks E 1 6. Help!

This error indicates replacement of ink cartridge. You can try to reset the printer by turning power off and then switch it on after 20 seconds. If this works, great, else you will have to get new ink cartridge.
