most likely on the keyboard you get on the screen in the left bottom corner will be an alternative symbol option key

if not you might have to change the bbid on the wi fi router and all your other devices connected to it by removing the underscore

you are probably in KBII mode Brothers usually have letters above the top row of keys code and KBII should bget you out of it.

do you mean you want to underscore?

To underscore, while typing the email, or message on your Nokia E63, press ctrl and list of symbols will appear on your screen. Amongst the symbols, you will find underscore there.

Ctrl is the first key at the right down part of your phone.

-- Go to a text field first, then press the RIGHT-soft key (not LEFT-soft key that the manual incorrectly states) to see a menu pop in the right bottom corner of the screen.

-- The menu shows Emoticons, abc, 123, Symb, etc

-- Select "Sym", and the popup dialog presents a full list of available symbols.

-- Use the Navigation button on the phone keyboard to go to the underscore symbol
-- press OK to input it into the text field.

When ready to hit enter the email address, in either edit or new entry mode, tap the top left button where it indicates "Abc". You will see a screen where choice five is "Symbols". On the first screen of "Symbols" the underscore does not appear. Press and hold the # key until the symbols screen appears. Then use the directional keys to move to the set that contains the underscore, hit the number key that corresponds with the underscore and hit OK.
