My phone was fine last night. Hooked up the wall charger and went to bed. Woke up this morning, green light was on. Phone would not respond to any input and remained black. I removed the battery for several minutes, and replaced it. No more green light, no nothing. Phone will not respond to anything.

    I'm having the same problem... When I slide the screen over I can hear a sound, but no picture, just a black screen... I went to go recharge it again, but nothing happened... I hope the phone didn't break down!

Ok I shipped my phone back to HTC, and they replaced the main circuit board... Now my phone is no longer unlocked and all the programs have been deleted... :( How can I get the normal software back? YOu know the main start up and everything?

Yeah its probably fried. This has happened alot before. Go to T-Mobile and get yourself a replacment. Should cost you $70

Leave the phone plugged into the car charger with the "plug into itunes" screen long enough to build a charge. It sounds like the phone is dying before it gets a chance to connect to itunes and start charging through the computer. If this does not work then the store clerk was correct and your battery will need replacing

The main ac filter board is the usual cause when the power light doesnt light up. You can get a replacement AC filter board from www.tvrepairworld.com

It seems that over charging has damaged your gadget's motherboard or battery mechanism. You have to get it serviced. But still you can try by Removing your battery for 1 hr and then after re insert.

My monitor doesn't display anything, though it's receiving input from the CPU. I know that input is being received because the monitor status light is green, and times out (turns orange).
Same thing happened to me! Went to bed last night, everything was fine. Woke up today, orange light came on, no display, slight flickering seen, but that's it. Cables and cords are fine, tried unplugging and plugging it back in, NOTHING. Totally dead. I'm guess off to buy a new one today. Typical made-in-China JUNK.

Phone doesn't turn on.
You should not allow the battery to fully drain,it will die sooner.

Remove the battery for 5mins, replace,and then try and turn on the phone.

Archos 404 not charging
Dont use the USB to charge the 404. Use a wall charger that accepts USB. Wally world (Walmart) has one for 15 dollars that has 2 USB ports. It works for me. Also the docking station will charge the 404 in no time at all. It's 80 dollars. Make sure you get the generation 4 unit
