Sony Bravia kdl-46S3000 flashing red lights

When I power on the tv, it stays ok for about 2 minutes. Then goes black with a blinking green light. Then power on again for another 2 minutes. Until shuts off with a flashing red light 12 times.

    12 times flash of LED shows HFR-ERROR and your TV requires Sony qualified TV tech to diagnose problem.

Hello,
the error light sequence that you are seeing is indicating a "backlight error". Most likely you have a bad inverter board -the board that powers up the back-lights behind the display panel. They might be available via ebay if you are a DIYer, or you need to call for sony service.

We have a 2007 Sony Bravia 46" KDL-46VL130. There is not sound or picture. When we power it on the green light comes on blinking once and then the red light blinking once and then the green light stays on....
Does the front light stays green ? Or goes back to red ? The back-light going on/off maybe the problem, but it shoul return with a red blinking led (4 times ?) and if so it can be a power inverter problem.
