Aligning the Print Head Position Print head alignment corrects the installation positions of the print head and improves deviated colors and lines. The procedure for performing print head alignment is as follows:

1. Open the printer driver setup window
   • In Windows Vista, select the Start menu -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Printers.

could be you're trying to open an attachment like a picture and there is no program to open it.
If thats the case just point it to ms fax and photo program

You need to tell Windows what program you want to use when opening the file since you don't have any program installed that knows this file.

Do you know what kind of file it is? If not, you need to find this out.
Usually you get powerpoint or pdf files in your mail. To read these you need Adobe Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer.

Short, You need to install a program that can handle the files you get in your mail. What program depends on the file.

To know what kind of file it is you have to se what "extension" it have (the three letters after the dot). Normaly you don't see this, but to be able to see it open Explorer and do go through the following:

1. select Start -> Settings -> Control Panels -> Folder Options
2. select the View tab
3. check "show hidden files and folders"
4. Uncheck "hide file extensions for known file types"
5. Click OK to finish

Now, save the file on your desk and check the last letters of the file. If it ends with .pdg it's a pdf-file, if it ends with ppt it's a power point file.

If it ends with something else, it needs a different program. To know which, just ask again :)

Send yourself another known working PDF attachment and see if the same thing happens. If it does, post back. If not, then it most likely means there's either a naming issue with the problem PDF, or it is just corrupt enough to give you troubles when opening from email.

you must not have a programme associated or installed that can open the attachments or your email settings in options are set to stop attachments from openeing so check in the settings.

ZM9 is a zone alarm file extension. Once Zone Alarm is installed you should have no further problems. If zone alarm is installed then associate the file to it by browsing for the .exe file of Zone Alarm.
