Since using a headset on my new uniden tcx 905 cordless phone now callers can't hear me when I'm talking on the phone and even the speakerphone doesn't work. They can only hear me when I use the headset.
I don't have the answer but have the same problem. Uniden tech support had me disconnect power, etc. to no avail. Next solution was "replace the unit". I'm looking for a two-line phone with no answering device - use voice mail. Any ideas?

Hi Ted, I'm looking for a solution to a similar problem. I found this adapter that might help you: <http://www.theheadsetbuddy.com/pc-computer-headset-to-uniden-phone-adapter/>I can't vouch for it first-hand since I haven't used it but am about to purchase it. It looks like you should be able to use a headset or separate headphones and microphone with it. --Tom

It worked well for me too! Thanks Fixya.com!! I was told I had to buy a new phone because the microphone went back. Took the receiver apart (4 screws in back of handset and 2 that held the board in place), cleaned mic with alcohol and a q-tip, and removed the rubber piece that kept the mic clean (inside of the housing), and presto, it worked just fine. The ribbon cable came loose upon opening up inside of phone, but I stuck it back inside the top of base and I was ready to go.
