The flashing red and green lights means that now it's in discoverable mode and it's time to add it as a bluetooth device.

New mouse does not connect saitek wireless notebook mouse s/n:ho83671834

HI,

You have to manually pair the mouse with the dongle.

Follow this steps and retry them a few times and it will work:

  • Plug the dongle in.
  • Press the button on the dongle for two seconds so that the green light flashes on and off.
  • Press the button on the underside of the mouse once (short press).
  • Wait for the mouse to pair.
  • If it doesn't pair, press the button underneath the mouse once to continue scanning.
The whole process shouldn't take longer than 10 seconds

Hope it helps...

I put in new batteries but no luck. No lights go ...

Answer:
With the buttons toward the top:
The top LEFT slider button is for power. Slide toward the outside for ON. Light on top of mouse turns green after about 1 second, and stays green for about 10 seconds (assuming the batteries are okay). When the batteries are failing, it blinks red.
The top Right PUSH button sends a connection signal to the PC. When pressed, the indicator light on the top flashes green and red, indicating the special connection signal.
This is the mouse side of the equation (good batteries, slider turned on, connection button pressed and released.).
NOW: the PC must have a working receiver, with drivers installed, and Bluetooth software installed. it sould detect the mouse. If it asks for a passkey, say none (mouse doesn't need passkey).
You should not need Microsoft Intellipoint. it doesn't have a configuration for this particular mouse model anyway.

Good Luck!

Wireless mouse stopped working. green light works

This can happen when the battery's are starting to die. Replace the batteries and then test the device again.

Flashing red light

Most wireless mice will hibernate after a short period of inactivity. If something bumps the desk or moves the mouse it will start scanning again. If you don't like the light, you could try a laser mouse (no red LED flashing).

Problem with wireless mouse

Sad to say that Cordless Mouse consumes power so fast thats why many of us are having the same trouble.
Besides, the quality/price of the re-chargable batteries greatly matter when considering their power backup

MY mouse has a red light that continously flashes. I charge it at night and all day the red lit flashes. Time for a new mouse or what?????

You need to tell us more then "MY mouse"... but I'll try to help.
First: there must be button to power off/on your mouse, switch to off and then on. If red light continues to flash clean connections on mouse and on dock (where you charge mouse), try to charge it, if red light continues to flash check if you can replace battery if not it's time for new mouse.
