Walmart mod # EM720CWA-PM. There is very little space around suspected part. It sure looks simular to your instructions. Do I just bend it back and forth until the contact breaks.?

It's best to desolder it, but I really can't say for sure about bending it without having the unit in front of me. But that's how i would probably do it.

If it's possible to mute or turn down the volume, the owner's manual will cover it.
If not, you may want to take extreme measures, as shown in the video.

Testimonial: "This was somewhat helpful pertaining to what appears to be the speaker/buzzer. On closer inspection of my Walmart mod # EM720CWA-PM (Picture attachment) there is very little space around suspected part. Any idea if this is the item in question?"

I have a High Pointe microwave model EM925RCW and the "buzzer" does not sound when the cook time is done. I've been unable to find any help in the manual or on the internet. Thank you.

You would have to pull the unit, remove the back cover and inspect the control board. Then identify where the buzzer should be located and see if it is even there. It would be labeled on the board something like BZ1. It will look like a button. I am not aware of any units that would have the feature of muting the buzzer.

Can you disable the chime at the end of the time cycle on my microwave

Yes , You can disconnect the chime or SOFTEN the chime by just insulating the gong if this is mechanical type or to disconnect the buzzer if this is the electronic control board

Beeping on Sunbeam SGB8901 Microwave

Unplug microwave, open top, "several screws" look to where the keypad is, behind that you should see the control board, mounted you should see a round black device may be a speaker or pizza buzzer, verify that is sound.

My microwave beep went away, is it locked

If the microwave is not working at all the main control panel or the touch pad can be faulty. However if only the beep is not heard but the microwave works fine then the buzzer can be changed. remove the board, check the buzzer with an external voltage after removal to confirm . If not the buzzer driver can be faulty.

The audible buzzer no longer sounds

most likley the buzzer has died on you, however its not very smart to try to fix it yourself as there is very hight voltage inside the microwave even after its been switched for for a long time, if you realy cant live without a buzzer going off, brop it into a repair man to fix it for you
is it realy worth the risk of killing yourself just to save a fuw bucks, also microwaves are so cheep now is it realy worth spending good money getting it fixed ?? a new one may be the best way forwards
