Buffalo 85 fan not blowing

My buffalo Brivis 85 fan is not blowing and the burner also shutdown. Whenever we turn it on the burner burns but the fan would not blow, after a short period of time the burner would suddenly burn out. I think the eletric fan controller has an issue or the gas valve. Can somebody enlighten on this issue? Thanks

Sounds like the fan is not working, can you isolate the fan and run it by itself with out the burned, this will tell you if it's the fan motor or some sensor that's the trouble

SOURCE: Brivis Buffalo 85 central heating unit - fan stays on problem

I have exactly the same problem. When I have the cover off there is a red light on, from what I can tell is the "Over Heat Fan" this seems to keep the fan on, and because it is in error prevents the system igniting. Haven't got a solution yet it only happened last night. Stu.

My brivis buffalo 20 will not start

whatever problem you are having with brivis buffalo, the first thing you need to try is RESET. This is how you reset.
1. turn off your heater from wall switch for at-leat 5 sec
2. turn on your wall switch for 5 sec
3. repeat step 1 and 2 for atleast 3 times within 60 sec

my brivis buffalo 20 was keep turning off after 30 min. RESET fixed my problem

Brivis buffalo 85 main burner not coming on pilot light is on fan comes on ???

If the pilot is on the thermo couple is ok. Could possibly be a faulty temperature limiting switch, it may be stuck and just needs a spray of WD40 or similar product. Then again I could be completely wrong.

Brivis Buffalo 15 not blowing air.

This sounds like a flame proving fault, so what's more than likely happening is the unit isn't sensing the flame. You'll see a small metal rod sticking down infront of the burner on the opposite side as the ignition source. Remove that rod, and clean it with some scotch bright. If you know how to work a volt meter you can test this part. Take the wire off the flame rod, place your meter leads in series with the wire and flame rod and set it to micro amps DC. Fire the unit up, and when your main burner lights you'll want to see a minimum of 1micro amp DC. If you're getting a higher reading than that and it still cycles I'd be suspicious of the grounding of the burner, or the ignition control! Good luck, let me know if you need any more instruction!

Burners on our Brivis Buffalo 52 Ducted heater aren't getting gas

test thermosat for proper operation ie-broken wire-power if good jump stat and check if unit goes on if it does than stat internal problem or wiring problem and needs replacement or repair --if stat good check fan safety/high limit sensor if good would need to check and test thermocouple thats the tube that the pilot flame burns on may be enough to keep pilot burning but not enough to open valve for heat demand

Hi. Brivis Buffalo not igniting

Okay,

first and for most do not light burners manually, if that chamber is filling up with gas and you light that sucker you risk the chance of causing an explosion or a blow back that will burn you. What you need to address is

-are the burners clean
-is there proper gas entering the gas valve
-is there proper gas to the manifold
-is the flue product being exhausted properly
-is my exchanger sooted up
-is my gas valve working properly

pm me for walk through steps
