Camera wont switch on

I used my camera & it was fine, I then looked at my photo's on the camera... the battery was low & after a while it switched itself off saying "battery empty", which it has done many times before. Since then it will just not switch back on. I have two batteries, I have charged them both fully, but the camera still wont switch back on. Can anybody please help me? Thank you!!

Hi, the batteries are the square Lithium Ion ones, not standard batteries so I don't have any others that I can try. The charger appears to be working ok, as the light comes on. Unfortunatly I do not have another appliance that accepts the batteries.

Try to use another 2 batteries. The problem could be with the batteries or the charger. By the way, did you checked batteries voltage or tried to use them in another appliance ?

Why won't photo button won't do anything

Your camera will work with AA batteries.
Always be sure the batteries are charged.
Insert the batteries correct plus to plus and minus to minus. Only one battery the wrong way around and the camera won't work.
Check contacts of the batteries and in the battery compartment of your camera. Dirty or oxidised contacts can be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use sharp tools to clean contacts or anything in or on your camera.
Always charge the batteries before using it for the first time, or if you have not used it for a long period. 3 months is a very long period.
Also check if the battery door is closed correct. Most cameras do have a switch connected to the battery door. If the switch does not work correct, it could be you can't switch on your camera.
Do not use alkaline batteries unless it is absolutely necessary. In most cases, alkaline batteries have a shorter service life than NiMH. Alkaline battery performance is limited, especially at low temperatures. The use of NiMH batteries is recommended.
Never use manganese (Zinc-Carbon) batteries in your camera. They can't deliver enough power and can start leaking, causing damage to your camera.

Camera mode takes blank photos

Is the lens cover open? (Make sure battery is fully charged) go into the menu and reset the camera make sure it's switched to auto and try again. I assume you have looked at the photos on a monitor? If they are absolutely black with no noise it's the processor.

Unnatural colors and a grainy LCD display

Dear concern. It seems like that the lcd has been either burned out or has been hurt badly.. try checking it on another camera whether the result is same or not .. If the result is same then the manfufacturer has built-in lcd with low depth quality.

I have a canon SD1000 digital camera and I was looking at my photos and they showed up fine. When I switched to take a picture I got error 24. What is this?

Please remove your battery and the memory card, transfer all your photos into your PC and save. Now format the memory card and replace on the camera. Replace the battery and switch on to shoot. If the fault occurs there is fault in the CCD- the camera optical device- or on the main control board. It is ideal to take an opinion with the Canon support center to estimate.

Camera switches off when i try to take a picture

Digital cameras need to run on rechargeable batteries, If you are already using rechargeables, have a look at tha mAh value which should be written on the side. Retailers recomend a value of at least 1800,personally i would go for 2100.

Low battery warning

What type of batteries did you buy?

For digital cameras, you want to use batteries with high milliamp hour (mah) rating: "2500 mah" if they are rechargeable.

If you bought regular batteries, you want to use good quality. Look for the "e2" or "better for digital equipment" type.

Does the camera have a DC power plug option? Try taking pictures with it plugged in if it does. If it still malfunctions with power right from the wall, then you bought a bad camera.
