It started about 5 or 6 months ago, and the problem is getting worse and worse...ill be on the computer and the computer will just completely shut off. when this problem first started, it would happen once every couple weeks, now, it happens every 10 or 15 minutes.
You could have an overheating problem, especially when you try to start the computer up again straight after a shutdown and it won't start, and starts only after it cools down.
This could be caused by a faulty fan (ie has stopped spinning or spins slowly) and or dust clogging the heatsink and or fan.
Clean/remove the dust and if the fan is faulty, replace it.

I bought my Compaq Presario F756NR Botebook PC, brand new from Best Buy, Feb 08. I have had nothing but problems with it. Mostly over heating and shutting down. Someone told me this is a manufacture problem. Does anyone know about that, or what to do to get it fixed?
My pc does the same thing, and it is not dirty and the fan is working properly.
Over heating seems to be pretty common, what is not common is the solution.
After it shuts down do you have to wait to turn it on again and if you wait longer then it work longer later?
