Electrolux power nozzle not working

The power nozzle on my Electrolux Guardian canister vacuum is not working -- the power nozzle motor does not come on and the light on the power nozzle does not come on. How do I take the power nozzle apart to see what is wrong? I hooked up the sidekick and it works fine so the problem is in the power nozzle.

I just purchased an electrolux oxygen3 7025 and the very first time I used it the power nozzle quit working. The low profile power nozzle works so it is in the power nozzle head. What would cause this to happen in a brand new machine. There was hair wrapped around the brush but it has been removed. Also what is the 'reset' button on the powerhead? Any suggestions?

I have an electrolux epic 6000sa - all of a sudden the power head just stopped working- the roller brush doesn't move- it isn't clogged or stuck. Any idea where I can get or download an instruction manual?

Reset button or belt for the issue. Some user manuals are available online.

FIRST OFF EACH OF YOU HAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MACHINE. ESPECIALLY THE OXYGEN WHICH IS MADE BY THE "NEW" ELECTROLUX. THE OTHER TWO ARE MADE BY THE "OLD" ELECTROLUX WHICH IN NOW CALLED AERUS. THE ADVICE WITH THE GUARDIAN TO GET IT SERVICED BY THE DEALER SINCE THE POWER NOZZLE IS PROBABLY STILL UNDER WARRANTY IS A GOOD IDEA. (THE 25 YR. WARRANTY DOESN'T APPLY TO THE WHOLE MACHINE SO YOU HAVE TO READ CAREFULLY WHATS COVERED. THE MAIN MOTOR DEFINITELY IS.)
ASIDE FROM ALL THAT
DID ANY OF YOU HIT THE RESET BUTTON ON TOP OF THE POWER HEAD?!

The powerhead gets its power through a connector adjacent to the hose connection to the vacuum end. there's two wires embedded in the hose which make its way to the handle, pipe and powerhead. take apart the handle and see if you can read continuity from one end to the handle switch.

Try using just one of the wand sections with the power nozzle to see if one works and the other doesn't. This will prove that if one works and the other doesn't, which one needs to be serviced further. If both are dead then you have narrowed the problem down to within the power head itself. Power Nozzle problems are normally either the ELBOW wiring or the Circuit Breaker. More major would be the motor in the head itself. (maybe just stuck and dirty carbon brushes in the motor)?

What circuit breaker is being referred to in the above response? Please respond to my email at [email protected]

    Thanks in advance

I have the same problem, there is power and suction, but the bar is not turning! Its just a belt that cost me $6.00. I have taken apart the power bar, but there is one stubborn part (of course where the belt needs to go) that I can't figure out how to remove! My system is a Model 90, very old, but reliable!

I would check that out first!!

To me it sound s like the elbow assembly... but with a 25 yr. warranty, I would just tell my service rep to come out & fix it. Try www.aeruspa.com if you cant find service.

I was vacuuming under my dresser using the large power head and I bumped the power head against the dresser and it stopped working.

If it doesn't work after depressing the reset button, a wire in the power nozzle may have been knocked loose. If that's the case, it will need to be taken to an authorized Aerus Electrolux store for repair.

I vacuumed a shirt. It came out immediately and there is now visible damage. The suction is working but the rotary piece with the brushes is not

Have you pressed the reset button on the power nozzle? If the power nozzle motor isn't running, this is the problem. If the PN motor is running, the problem is more likely to be a broken belt, and it needs replaced.
If the belt, I strongly recommend taking it to an authorized Aerus Electrolux dealer to have it replaced. It can be tricky disassembling and reassembling the PN without damaging something.

Power nozzle N106M on our Electrolux Guardian has stopped workin

Start simplest always and work back to most difficult... so make sure you have power to the main unit, do you have a cheap voltmeter? If not they're cheap... Second check that connection plug is not stuffed with debris. Point is isolate whether it is the unit or attachment, most likely it's in the connection and repairable by you or used vacuum repair.

I need a new base plate for an Electrolux vacuum power nozzle model #1693 Are these available anywhere?

This part is not available through any vacuum parts house / vacuum store. You would have to check your yellow pages to see if there is a local Electrolux dealer in your area. You might also try to find Electrolux on line and contact them that way.
