My RCA opal 2 GB i bought it 2 weeks ago and it wont turn on and the lcd screen had no more lighting before it wouldnt turnn on, then it wouldnt work at all

maybe you locked the key behind mp3 player. or it does not have enough chaging

Problem Should be software -
Reinstall your mp3 player software. It will update your mp3 player.

in the back of the opal there is a reset button try that and charge it again

I guess you need to FORMAT it... and then check the usb or even change it.

try installing firmware update,can use software by click on the rca easy rip then plug in player go to picture of player click on it then click update

i just click computer....click opal.....click folder that says music....and drag music in the folders.....that works for me

Did You press it with a metal object?

Hey all you opal owners..had mine since x-mas and believe it or not even with the glitches it has i love it plus i have the 8 gb one ..anyway had the same problem wouldnt get past initalizing screen..could not re set it either so what i did was...left it on until the battery went down once battery died i turned it back on you will get that low battery screen shutting down and not the intializing screen so right before it did actually shut down i plug in the usb chord and what do you know it recognozes it and then i just upgraded firm ware thats where the problem is you have to upgrade ever since i have done that its been fine..also when playing songs dont skip song to song so fast or it will lock it up

press the reset button then press play

OK click the play/pause button twice/ Or: the hold switch on the right side may be on.
