First, move the slide switch at the left rear of the top of the unit all the way to the right. You'll see the colon blinking, indicating that you are in 'set' mode. Now turn the dial that surrounds the ON/OFF button on the top of the unit. You can move it clockwise or counterclockwise, to change the time forward or backward. When done, move the slide switch back to the far left. Done.
There are three buttons under the heading "Dual Wake", WK1, Cancel, WK2. The WK buttons refer to the two wake time settings you can have. Press Cancel and then WKx. That will turn off the alarm. If you press WKx more than once, it will cycle through small symbols on the bottom of the screen with the number x in front of them. First symbol means it will have a sound alarm for alarm x, second symbol means it will have a radio alarm and the third symbol means it will play the CD to alarm. You set the time for alarm with the slide switch at the back of the unit, selecting WK1 for alarm 1 and WK2 for alarm 2. You can have both alarms active at once, or either one singly.
Look at the display. Look for a number 1 or a number 2 to determine which alarm is on. If you see a number 1, push the 1 button on the top right side of the alarm clock until the number light goes off (1 or 2 times, depending on whether it is set to beep or radio alarm). When the number is not lit up, the alarm is off.
use the selector switch on the top, switch it to wake 1 or wake 2. set the time that you want that alarm to go off. then push the switch all the way back to the left to deactivate it. then to activate the alarm, use the buttons on top labeled wake 1 or wake 2 to turn the desired alarm on. pushing that button repeatedly will cycle the alarm to either beep, radio, or it will turn that alarm off.
Heh, great. I have the same problem. I LOVE this alarm clock, but I can never tell if it's 6:48 or 5:15. I've tried 4 different alarm clocks now and I keep going back to the one I can't read. I was trying to find an answer to what to do about it and came across this. Maybe there is no solution...
