Not able to pair my bt-03a with my android device

Have you already tried to put your headset in pairing (discoverable) mode first? Anyway, in order to do it, starting with it turned off, press and hold the 'Play' button for some 7 seconds, until the indicator light is alternately lit in blue and red. It is in pairing mode now. Then, withing a couple of minutes, on your phone, go to 'Menu > Settings > Wireless & network > Bluetooth'. If the bluetooth radio is not turned on, turn it on. Then, tap 'Scan for devices'. After a little while, your headset should appear on the phone' screen. Tap over it to make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros, without the quotes). If the pairing process is succesful, your headset should enter the stand-by mode. An indication that a heaset is connected should appear on your phone too. If your phone indicates that only phone calls are available, tap and hold over it, until a context menu comes up, and select 'media', in order to make streamed music ffrom your phone sound on the headset.
Hope it works for you.
Anyway, please, let me know if you need further informations.
Regards,Carlos

How to connet bluetooth on nokia 5230

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows devices to communicate via high-frequency radio signals. Bluetooth headphones are just one of the many devices designed to work with portable music devices as well as ordinary phones. With Bluetooth headphones, you can listen to music as well as make and receive calls--all from the same device. Connecting them is a snap.

1
  • Turn on your cell phone. Enable Bluetooth by accessing your phone's general or network settings. Your phone will search for Bluetooth signals in the area--they are usually denoted by a small icon displayed on the screen. If you don't know how to turn on Bluetooth or aren't sure whether your phone supports Bluetooth technology, refer to your phone's user guide.

  • 2

Turn on your Bluetooth headphones while near your cell phone. Turning on a Bluetooth-enabled device will usually put it in pairing mode, meaning it is actively searching for a device to connect to. Since your phone also is actively searching for a Bluetooth device, it should find it right away and prompt you to connect to it. It may ask for a password--refer to your headset's user manual for the default password and how to change it.

  • 3

Test your connection. Once your headset is paired, the phone will usually start sending calls and audio to it without any additional configuration. Some phones may prompt you and ask which device to use. Try making calls and/or playing music. If you hear music from only one ear, your phone may not support stereo Bluetooth. If you don't hear anything, re-pair the headphones. Power off your phone and headphones, then turn them back on and repeat steps 1 and 2.

    Can't pair to iphone 3g

Hi, the iPhone 3G definitely does work with bluetooth. In fact, I'm talking on a bluetooth headset with my iPhone 3G right now.

You have to put both your Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headsetand the iPhone in "pairing mode".

On your iPhone, click the Menu button, tap the Settings icon, tap the General icon, and then tap the Bluetooth icon. Make sure that 'Bluetooth' is set to "ON" and not "OFF". As long as you have this screen up, your iPhone is in pairing mode.

Turn your Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headset off and wait a few seconds. On your Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headset, press and hold and Answer/End button for Five Seconds, until a solid blue light comes on, which places the device in Bluetooth discoverable mode.

Now that both devices are 'discoverable', the Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headset will show up on that Bluetooth screen on your iPhone. Be patient as it might take a minute to appear. Tap on the Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headsetin the list on your iPhone, and then it will ask you for a passkey. The passkey is "0000" (without the quotes). After you enter the passkey, the Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headset will show up on the list with the word "Paired" next to it.

Now you're paired! Incoming calls will automatically be passed to your headset as long as your iPhone can find it nearby.

    Good luck.

    Bluetooth Troubleshooting: Phones & Headsets

    Problem #1:
Headset and phone are turned on, but you don't hear anything in the headset, i.e., there is no dial tone.
Action #1: Make sure your phone is Bluetooth-capable. If it is not: A. Buy a new Bluetooth-capable phone. B. Purchase a Bluetooth adapter for your non-Bluetooth phone. The adapter will allow your phone to interact with a Bluetooth headset.

    Problem #2:
It's a Bluetooth-capable phone and Bluetooth headset, both are turned on, but you still don't hear anything.
Action #2: Make sure your phone, headset, and, if necessary, adapter are fully charged before attempting to synch the Bluetooth connection between the two devices - in many cases a blinking blue light will indicate the headset is charged.

    Problem #3:
Everything is charged, but still not working.
Action #3:Before two Bluetooth-enabled devices can communicate with each other, they need to be initially synched up to each other - also referred to as linking or pairing.
    A. Find "Communications" or "Connections" on your phone's menu screen and explore within to locate "New" or "Bluetooth."
    B. Push the main button on the headset until the light shines solid blue and is NOT blinking. C. Select Bluetooth on phone menu. Within Bluetooth you may need to select and highlight "Devices" or "Find Devices" (depending on where you are, there may be other Bluetooth devices available).
    D. While the headset light is solid blue, open the Bluetooth link (or Find Devices) on your phone's menu screen and scroll through until you locate the headset you wish to synch up to. Your phone will automatically begin searching for Bluetooth devices within 30 feet of itself.
    E. After a short period of time, your menu screen should say "connected" or "devices paired". Make sure you click or select the device name to finalize the connection. If you have successfully paired the two devices, you will hear a dial tone in the headset. Congratulations! You've joined the Bluetooth world.

Note: After a couple of minutes showing solid blue, the light on the headset will start blinking; you want to pair up the phone and headset while the light is still unblinking. This is important. If the light starts blinking before you can complete the connection, you will need to turn the headset off and on and start over.
    Problem #4:
You've followed all the instructions in this guide, and your Bluetooth connection is still not functioning properly.
Action #4: Take out your manual and carefully reread the section on synching up Bluetooth devices. If you still can't get things properly connected, we suggest you call the manufacturer regarding this issue.
