You need to download co-decs for your media player and you can fix it.

You'll need a FLV decoder. I'd recommend using the K-Lite Codec Pack, which includes ALL the video/audio codecs to play any multimedia file today... It's recommended to uninstall any existing codecs prior to the installation of the codecs pack!

Go to www.filehippo.com and download K-Lite codec pack and install it.During the install select windows media player or windows player classic as your default player.Uninstall GOM its a low quality media player

You should download the k-lite codec pack which contains every video & audio codec you will ever need. www.codecguide.com

Download the full codec pack, don't bother with the Mega pack as it contains stuff you will never need.

You will not get video previews on files for which you lack the proper video codex. Furthermore, that codex needs to be accessible to Windows media player. If it is application specific, only available to Nero, etc. it won't work.
