Hey Cindy, thanks for your submission!
I see that your Frigidaire dryer is displaying an error code of "ad". The "ad" error code will display with the "Auto Dry" cycle has been selected. If you did not select the auto dry cycle I would suggest performing a reset on your dryer and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord for at least ten minutes. Once power has been restored to the dryer and if the error code is still persistent you may need to have a replacement control panel or wiring harness installed. I would recommend having electrical parts replaced by a professional technician this will prevent any personal injury. Best of luck! -Matt
I understand your Frigidaire dryer, model# ATF7000ES, is not heating and showing an error code 56. The E56 code means there is high motor current, meaning it is possible something is going on with the motor. The other possibility is this is a false error code. Please try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
I understand that you are receiving an "AD" error code on your Frigidaire dryer, model# AGQ7000E. I also see that your dryer is not heating. The "AD" code states that your appliance is in an auto dry cycle. I suggest resetting your dryer, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. If further troubleshooting is needed, I ask that you please let me know the error codes displayed on your appliance. Hope this is helpful.
Hi Susan, this is JK. I understand that you are receiving an error E56 on your washer. This error E56 is indicating a high motor current, the motor has overheated. The washer motor will stop when it is overheated, allow the motor to cool down and attempt to wash again. If the problem persists, you would need to contact a service provider to test the motor, motor pulley, tub pulley and the bearings. Hope this helps!
I understand that you are having trouble with your dryer not heating and not running a full cycle and shutting off with the Drying, Cool Down, and Extended Tumble lights flashing. What I suggest is to give your appliance a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. After the 3-5 minutes, bring power back and try to start a cycle. If it does not complete the cycle and shuts off with the lights flashing, I suggest to either contact the manufacturer or a local appliance technician. This way you will be able to locate the cause of this issue and have it resolved.
I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the dryer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. Over the years, I haven't had much trouble with my dryers. The E56 error code means high motor current. To help you find out why, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair information on dryers and other appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. You can probably verify the meaning of the error code there. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.
During normal operation, the display may show:
“ad” - dryer is in an auto dry cycle.
“dn” - cycle is done in auto dry.
“PF” - a power failure to the board has occurred.
“Err” - an error has been detected.
“LOC” - control lock is activated.
“PAU” - cycle has been interrupted.
