When you say "not able to detect player", do you mean an application such as Windows Media Player or it does not should up as a Removable Disk? Does the device power up? If so, what do you see on the screen. There is a system test you can do to see if there are problems with the player itself. I'll post the steps below. Ken ------------------------------------------- To test everything, you'll want to get your USB cable (PC not required), remote audio cable, and power adapter. With the unit powered off, press and hold the POWER OFF button and at the same time use a paper clip to depress the RESET button. The system will do some tests of display and then prompt you through testing the different buttons. It ends with a battery test. This may be a good one to document your values when you first get a unit so you can compare later if the batteries seem to be losing performance. To get out of it, press STOP. I?m adding detailed steps and normal results for comparison to your unit: Dr. Bantam ------------------------------------- LCD Test ------------------------------------- Turning Backlight On ------------------------------------- Turning Backlight Off ------------------------------------- (Display of Bantam Splash Graphics) KEYPAD TEST (should get PASS or FAIL, STOP to bypass any step) -------------------------------------------------- Press Select Key -> PASS Press ScrollUp Key -> PASS Press ScrollDown Key -> PASS Press Escape Key (this is MENU key) -> PASS Press next key -> PASS Press prev key -> PASS Switch HOLD on -> PASS Switch HOLD off -> PASS Plug USB in -> PASS Press remote vol up -> PASS Press remote vol dwn -> PASS Press remote play -> PASS Press remote stop -> PASS BATTERY TEST --------------------------------------- External Power: No (Yes when plugged in) Battery Level: 222 (low=140, high=250) Fault Pin: High Charge Pin: High (Low when plugged in and charging)

Where do i find a driver for this model

I do not think you need a driver. Connect it to your computer via USB and the computer will recognize it as a "Removable Drive" automatically and assign it a letter (E: or F:, etc.).

Hope this helps.

Mp3 player downloads

Please do the following to isolate the problem:

1. Connect the MP3 player into different USB port of the computer and make sure that the computer could detect it.
2. If the computer does not detect it, use another computer.
3. Make sure that you have enough memory space in your MP3 player so that you could download songs.
4. Download songs that has .mp3 file format
5. Try different USB cable to isolate the problem.

NOTE: iPod is using different different file format, make sure that your MP3 supports that file format. If not, those songs will notplay in you MP3.

BA 1000

Bantam no longer exists. They were bought out by GPX.
GPX has some support information such as manuals, but not the software.
You can obtain a copy of the software at the Yahoo! Group: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/bantamplayers/
