Reset Password I´m trying to acess the Encore Electronics 802.11G Router from the internet explorer using the adress http://168.192.1.1 and then it requires the password, but I don´t rember the password. I tried user:admin pw:admin but it didn´t work. I tried even to reset the router using the button on his back but it din´t work anyway.

reset to factory default

press and hold reset button during the whole process and only release when completed.

1)press reset button 30 seconds
2)remove power cable 30 sec
3)plug in power cable 30 sec and then release.

You should no be set for 192.168.1.1
username admin
password is password

Did you try resetting to factory defaults and then access it from the default IP address and password?

Be sure that your router adress is 192.168.1.1 you can use winipcfg in windows (the gateway address is what you are looking for) to see if its the good adress.

If its not working use another browser, simply restart the router or Hard Reset the router with a paper clip.

TO GET THE WIRELESS PASSWORD


Step 1 : Connect - Router - Computer ( Wired )

Step 2 : open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.1.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 3 : Default password is admin

Step 4 : Click wireless

Step 5 : Choose wireless security

Step 6 : Here you can find the Password

Step 7 : Try to connect with this password

For that open internet explorer then go to tools->internet option then advanced tab reset all settings to defaults then restart it then check.
Follow below to configure router.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Get a paper clip or anything sharp on that size and insert it into the the little reset hole on the back of the router and hold for 15 seconds or so. This should reset the router to manufacturer's settings. Wait for all the lights to stop flashing and remain on, then try to connect to the internet.

Make sure your browser has "Java, JavaScript, or ActiveX enabled" If you are using Internet Explorer, click Refresh to be sure the Java applet is loaded.
Try quitting the browser and launching it again.

If you can't acess to your router, reset the modem to factory settings and try again.

You will have to acess your router by putting your network gateway adress in your web browsers address bar. Ex, http://192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

this usually will bring up a login & password prompt.
if you have changed the default login details you can perform a reset on the back of the router by pressing the reset button. goodluck.

check if there is a little red button on the back .... that says reset click it,.....if not then go to intenet explorer ... type the ip in the adress bar..... a username / password sign should come on ... for username leave it blank for the password right admin and it should take u to a internet sight ..... go to security settings and reset it ...u will figure it out from there truse me ! hope i helped -el


ps. the ip adress is 192.168.1.1

to make sure its setup properly you should reset it up, to do this press the reset button on the back of router, and then when its up to a ready state acess it through your web browser. the adress is 192.168.2.1 ,then click the login button, the defualt password is blank. after that your are logged into the router you can run the setup wizard located on the left hand side of the page. once setup is complete you should be able to acess the internet.
