HELP! Problem transfering music from itunes to iphone

Hey - first of all, thanks so much for any help you can provide. here's my Q. when i used to transfer music from my itunes to my regular ipod, i would just highlight the tracks from my music library and manually drag them into the "music" folder within my ipod folder. but why cant i do that with my iphone? the music library in my iphone, when it's plugged in to itunes, cannot be manipulated at all. but this is not what happens with my ipod. am i doing something wrong, or is this some difference between ipod and iphone? THANKS!!!!

  • Dingle Mcnut Aug 09, 2007

okay, i still dont know what in the world youre talking about. why is everyone being so cryptic? can someone please just tell me in like a couple of sentences how to fix this problem??? the suggestions i am getting are either incomprehensible, or require me to sign up to some bullshit service, or takes me only 1% of the way to the answer. i am beginning to suspect this site is some kind of farce. please prove me wrong, anyone...

I cannot sync my unlocked iPhone!?
I have an unlocked iPhone with a T-mobile SIM card in it. When I connect my iPhone to the computer, only the image viewer appears but nothing else. I cannot see iTunes or anything else (except for this image viewer) when my iPhone is connected to the computer.

Could you please help me to figure out how to put music on my unlocked iPhone?

    Thanks.

This is easy:

On the summary page of your iphone on itune there are three options in the bottom third of the screen just above your capacity summary.

Make sure the button "Manually manage music and videos" is checked and you can drag and drop.

Make a new folder.....name it whatever...."iphone music"... make sure that whe your iphone is docked and it shows up under devices in itunes uncheck sync iphone automatically....check the box that say sync manually and sync checked items.....from your itunes libray choose the songs you want on your iphone...click and drag into your "iphone music" playlist.....when you have everything you want in the playlist go to your iphone under devices, go to music tab, then make sure the box is checked for selecting certain playlists...."iphone music" should be on there...check it's box....then sync....whenever you add more music to your main library put the ones you want into your "iphone music" folder then sync....if you want to remove music then go into itunes go to "iphone music" delete the song that you want removed then sync....this does not remove the music from main itunes library just your "iphone music" playlist.... I put about 200 songs on my iphone....listen at work....and then sync a totally different playlist of 200 different songs...about every two weeks...hope this helps...Also i have not had any problems with music from burned cd's or from file sharing networks...

  1. make sure ur i phone is reconised
  2. goto edit the preferences
  3. goto sharing tab
  4. make sure look for shared libararies is ticked (i also ticked them both even though i've only 1 pc)
  5. check the selected playlists (because it makes it easier to manage)
  6. select this lists you want to use (ie. music movies tv shows the ones use dont want to use if you don't want podcasts then leave it un checked) leave the password box un checked and ok it.
  7. goto your general music library and simply drag and drop into your i phone and it will sync them as you drag and drop if you have checked the manually manage and sync only checked songs and videos .
  8. and thats it don't need to make a new folder
  9. just set it up and drag and drop...

The easiest way to manage this problem is be creating a Playlist called "iPhone" (or whatever you want to call it) and set the iPhone to only sync with that Playlist. That way you can drag music in and out of that folder (located in the sidebar of your iTunes window) to sync with your iPhone.

This problem is very easy to explain... Go to iphone (where your iphone's name is written) Then click musics.
There will appear Sync music.
Put a check on it and then choose The playlists or (is easier)
you select all playlists. There is the answer for a problem that was once mine :D
thanks for reading!!

iphone Nova has it, its listed there. I use it and its great.

  • Anonymous Aug 07, 2007

Did you sign up for the software there? Check my other posts this solved the problem for other people.

  • Anonymous Aug 09, 2007

No it's not a farce, the problem is the way the iPhone handles DRM - Digital Rights Management. With the iPhone alot of pressure was put on apple to add these security measures by competing companies. SO you need a way around the DRM thats where the site comes in.

Sync iphone and ipad

Hey friend. What kind of files do you want to sync between iPhone and iPad? Let's say, if you're planning to sync music from iPhone to iPad, you can simply rely on iTunes.

Please note that if you have hundreds of thousands of songs in iTunes Music Library, you'd better create a separate playlist for the songs you want to transfer. Then you can choose the playlist when you sync music to iPad with iTunes. The following guidance will show you how to transfer songs from iPhone to iPad with iTunes.

1. Transfer Purchased songs from iPhone to iTunes Music Library.
Sync Music
2. Connect iPad to computer with USB cable.
3. Click the iPad icon and choose Music.
4. Check Sync Music, and choose the iPhone music playlist.
5. Click Sync at the right bottom.

How do i transfer musics from pc to iphone? i failed to transfer it by using itunes lol. it says sync failed

I know a software Syncios is much more better than iTunes, which not only supports transferring music between PC and iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, but also transferring other data, like photos, videos, movies, contacts, messages, podcasts, ebooks, apps, notes and bookmarks.

How can i download music to my ipod touch without

Unfortunately Apple products are very proprietary, and Apple works very hard to keep people from using other software. I've seen several programs that you can purchase from places like Best Buy that replace the iTunes music software, but using that software will leave you unable to sync any applications or software updates. Good luck!
