SOURCE: Urgent help
PLEASE let me help...1) If you ask a large parts supplier about
OEM parts (Original Equipment Mfr.)the best quality is by the piece with mfr # on the bag...Hitachi STK392-110 is now subbed
and upgraded to STK394-160 with Hitachi # CZ 01341 ON THE
PACKAGE ! They are the best and WILL NOT BURN THE
CURRENT LIMITING RESISTORS UP ! Kit IC's are not always
first QUALITY, as you are fnding out.So, change the IC's with
two # CZ 01341 HITACHI ON THE BAG and you will not burn
any more resistors ! 2) Forget about the DCU and yokes........
Let me know how it goes......................T.
SOURCE: 1.5 ohm resistor rk 46 keeps blowing
You should have put the original OEM STK's in the set - if your set had 110's or 120s put those chips only. Do not risk different chips with different specs/amps/ etc....when you do resistors blow as you have discovered.
