Nice to meet you.
Yesterday I changed the glass of my skagen watch to crystal glass. As you it is made from Japan and according to my knowledge they ususally make the watch with glass. I paid 30dollars to change the glass.
mcdevito75 here, helloarcus, look for a small watch repair shop in your area in Hong Kong you shouldn't have any problems getting a new glass (crystal) for your calvin Klein watch, However since you say the watch is new, contact Calvin Klien and let them know of the broken glass, see if it's on any kind of warranty, the paper work with your watch should have the contact info.
mcdevito75 here, If the crystal is original Glass from the watch manufacturer Skagen, that would account for the jump in price, and of course the amount of time from the last time the crystal was changed. BEST BET, keep shopping for a small watch repair shop in your area, a small out of the way place where prices may be lower..
A watchmaker or some jewelry stores can order it for you if they don't have a suitable replacement in stock. Depending on the severity of the damage they may be able to buff out the existing crystal to almost new condition. As long as it's not cracked it can usually be buffed out for just a few dollars.
Take it to your nearest what shop and discuss it with them.
It may be that it will have to be sent to the maker if it is an unusual shape or size. If this is so, the watch shop should be able to sort it out for you.
Firstly, remove your nosepiece. Grab hold of the frame at one of the top corners with an index finger and thumb - use your other index finger and thumb to hold the lens, apply presure and gently pull apart. The notch will release.
