I cant play the audio of the movie

Following are the solutions1)make sure that the volume is not mute.. you can do so by going to start >All programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control.. make sure that the volume is not mute..
2) Check that your speakers or woofers are plugged in correctly and are in working state.
3) If the above solutions do not work then re-install your audio drivers..
4) If all of the above solutions do not work then play some other movies or songs if their audio works fine then the audio of that movie that you want to watch might be corrupt. Download another copy of that movie and enjoy

My sound is not work..i instaled the driver, at realtek manager demo i hear, but at movie, song, or youtube..not work...i have motherboad asusM2A-VM ...ty

I hate to say it, but I often run into problems with my audio dying when I'm attempting to adjust the audio properties on a flash-based video stream. The only way I can get it to reset without rebooting is to throw my PC into "Stand By" and then bringing it back out of it. This resets all of the multimedia hardware on my PC. It's crude, but it works.

Window media cannot play because there is sound problem in my computer

I wish, I can know the operating system installed on your computer and the exact error message that you are seeing on the screen. Anyway, try this.. first download and install this.. (Microsoft uaa bus on high definition audio driver). Open the link and click "Download" button and save it. After it's installed, download anyone of these..(select your Operating System):
1. Realtek High Definition audio driver for windows xp and previous windows versions.

2. Realtek High Definition Audion Driver for Windows Vista 32

Download and install the drivers, restart your computer and try playing songs/movies etc.. using the Windows Media Player. It'll work fine.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Dell Inspiron E1505 Audio

Hi artifax,

I have a suggestion/solution for this that I need you to try. Here it is:

first, go to add or remove programs, look for Creative/SoundBlaster and Sigmatels listed there and uninstall every one of them. Then, go to Device manager and uninstall Creative/Soundblaster/Sigmatel under sound and game controllers. reboot the system.

now download and run this,
E1505/6400 BIOS
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R158849&SystemID=INSPIRONI6400/E1505&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=10430&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=9&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=1&fileid=212350

then download and install this,
Sigmatel Audio Driver
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R171789&SystemID=INSPIRONI6400/E1505&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=8907&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=3&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=3&fileid=235761

Do not install any Creative first, then let me know if this works.

I'll be waiting for your reply.

System sound not working on Dell Inspirion 6000 laptop

There are two sides of the problem. Hardware and software. To check whether the hardware is defective:

Try running the Pre-boot System Assessment (PSA):
1. Shutdown system
2. Press and hold on the "Fn" key.
3. Press the power button to turn the system on while holding on the "Fn" key.
4. Run the PSA until you get to the "colored bars". Then press "N" to say no.
5. Should you hear the beep codes, that means that the sound card is working fine. If you don't hear anything, then you need to replace your motherboard.

Now if your hear beeps that means that there's something wrong with the driver and audio settings. Do the following:

1. Right-click on My Computer then click on Properties
2. Click on Hardware then Device Manager
3. Click on the (+) beside Sound and Audio Devices
4. Right click on Sigmatel then click "Uninstall".
5. Go to support.dell.com
6. Click on Drivers and Downloads
7. Enter the Service Tag of your system (found at the bottom of your laptop)
8. Then download the audio driver. Just save it on your desktop first.
9. Restart the computer.
10. Install the driver.
11. Go to Control Panel -> Sounds and audio
12. Make sure that Sigmatel is the default sound device.

Please rate this solution if this helps.

Thanks,
