No power My pioneer vsx 818v receiver is 1 month and 1 week old. Couple nights ago while i was singing karaoke the reciever just shut off. I find that the reciever was very hot. I unplugged the power cord and let it sit for a bit and plugged it in a different outlet, but still got no power and not working. I open up the unit and find only 1 fuse, an 8amp 125v, but it was still good. I already try removing the fuse and reinsert it but still see no result. If anyone know the solution please help and thank you.

Press TUNE+ & AUTO SURR/DIRECT keys continuously for 2 sec. and it will tell you the fault it encountered if the receiver is in otherwise working condition.

I have a pioneer receiver vsx 818x 7.1 how do I get the hole 7.1 Workin an I can't get the best sound out of my speakers,

The VXS-818V shouldn't be much different....

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Pioneer-VSX-818V-Receivers-manual/id/14715ci276/t/2/

Since the receiver itself has no sources 7.1 onboard, the question obviously involves unnamed external equipment.

Set it and any other equipment in accordance with their manual(s).

Problem for Pioneer VSX-818V-K 5.1 Channels Receiver Surround sound doesn't work, display reads 2CH IN,surround speakers are enabled, automatic test will find surrand speakers

Test with an surround sound media ie. Blu-ray or DVD)_. Disconnect the front and all other speakers that are working to see if sound from the missing speakers are heard. If this doesn't work then start by tracing and checking all the wires from the receiver to the speakers for bad/shorted/open connections.

PLEASE VOTE IF THIS WAS HELPFUL. THANKS & GOOD LUCK.

No Sound from Subwoofer

The original Pioneer subwoofer has its own amplifier built in to the speaker, so the only cable required on the original speaker is a single RCA cable. To connect a different brand subwoofer to the Pioneer you will have to make sure that you have a subwoofer with the same specs. It will need its own built in amp to work, as you can only connect it with one RCA
