Mitsubishi wd 52628 input issue, blue screen and input error

This unit comes on, menu is clear and bright. The channel scan has fuzz in analog search mode. However, the saved channels appear with the same blue screen and the no channel found error message. The other inputs are all just a blank blue screen with an inactivity message appearing later.

There are no analog channels, they are all digital now, be sure your antenna is facing proper direction before scanning for digital channels

I replaced the lamp in my Mitsubishi WD 52628 and the tv will still not come on and the lamp light still blinks

"Initialize" a "factory reset". Power on the tv, on the original remote, enter "MENU 1,2,3 ENTER". This will get you to the factory reset window. Initialize the default reset and you are fixed. Try this before ditching the set or tearing it apart. Good luck and post your results for everyone here with the blinking green timer light issue. Thanks.

Snowy picture, device menu will not come up.

Depending on what devise, (cable box, game system, movie players) the sign of snow is no signal, there are inputs that you hook a devise up to on a TV, you have to change the input on the TV to pick up the signal of the unit, on the remote or TV itself, there with be a(n) "input", "source", "tv/video", or "video source" button that you can choose the same input you chose in the back of the TV.

Power surge and now all we get is snow and cannot get to the Device menu remote nor button on TV lets us get device menu

There is a simple thing you can try---with set on use original Mitsubishi remote:

hit Menu, then 1, then 2, then 3 and then enter--this is reset and set will shut off and come back on channel three in the air band------There is also a Hard Reset for the whole set---try the 1,2,3, etc first.

Change the 1000uf @16v capacitors on the FMT board that should solve your problem. You will most likely found that they have swelled. Let me know if you need further info.

WD-52628 Mitsubishi - change inputs

We had the same problem. Luckily, we had a service contract, so it was serviced yesterday. The fix involved the service guy going through a "service menu" and resetting the TV that way. He was not "allowed" to tell me how I can access the service menu, however. I do plan to research this on the internet in case it happens in the future. It is basically a software/computer problem, and unplugging the TV isn't enough to clear it unless the TV is unplugged for "a long time." The technician said the length of time depends on the condition of your capacitors. Anyway, as a temporary fix, he showed me that you can go into the PIP mode. The device toggle for PIP apparently did still work with mine, so I was able to switch the device on the secondary picture and then switch it to primary, then toggle the PIP off. Good luck!
