I has the same problem with my HE360 unit. The unit was in fact miswired. The head unit red wires were connected directly to the blue solenoid wires, and activated the solenoid without any signal from the humidistat. As soon as the unit is plugged inn, the water starts running without any signal to the unit. If your unit is miswired, the soleniod blue wires need to be cut and connected to the red crimp connectors.

I had the same problem with my Honeywell HE 265. I ordered part number 32001639-002 from simplyplumbing.com and fixed it today. The solenoid is the same for the HE 220. You'll need a torx screwdriver and a 5/8" wrench. Doesn't matter how you re-attach the electricals, they're DC.

No turn the furnace switch off (the light switch near furnace, if water continues replace solenoid valve. Afterward you adjust to a slow trickle when calling for humidity, anymore is wasted water.

HONEYWELL HE260

Unless you are using a current sensing relay or sail switch, you need to get the humidifier power from the blower motor supply so it only operates when the blower is on.

Since you can manually control the humidifier, there is not a fault with the solonoid.

He360 fan and water run continuously

Check yor wiring, make sure you have sail or pressure switch wired in series with humidistat to humidifiers 24V power. Pressure or sail switch will disconnect humidifier when furnace fan is off. Humidifier (110V) could be connected to any closest electrical outlet.

I have just completed installing a Honeywell HE220A humidifier to a Carrier Weathermaker 8000vs that was installed in 2003. My problem is that all the identified circuits in previous posts on the circuit...

I believe that Carrier has a 24 volt setup for humidifier but am not sure. On the circuit board I think there is a terminal (HUM). If there is this terminal connect 1 wire to this and 1 wire to C terminal.
If not, pretty sure there is a 120 volt EAC terminal. This would only kick on when blower is on. If you have to use this you would have to install transformer to the EAC connections

I have a whole house Honeywell E365 humidifier which is constantly flowing water to the pad, even when the heat is not on. What could be the cause ?

Hello, the most common reason this happens is because the solenoid valve is bad and remains open allowing water to flow continously regardless if the furnace is on or off. I assume you have either a sail switch or current sensing relay energizing the humidifier when the heat is on, if not thats another reason it would run continously.

Hi, We have a new house fitted with a Honeywell HE225 humidifier. It does not seem to work. Doesn't matter what we set it to, there is still way too much condensation on all the windows. We ended up...

Cut the power to the whole house humidifier and turn off the water pipe to it. If you want it running in the winter, put the water back on, but put a timer or a humidistat on the power cable to only allow it to run a certain amount of time per day, or to only run it the humidistat shows an RH lower than 45 percent (or whatever your comfort level is).

Honeywell he220a waterflow

Sounds like you Connected the humid trans fromer directly to a main power source. It should be either on the EAC or HUM term on the board of the furnace.
