Where is the AOSS Button

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. The PS3 does not have an AOSS button. AOSS (AirStation OneTouch Secure System) is used for wireless setup of devices for your network. Your router will have a button on it for this. If it does not then it more than likely does not have the ability to set devices up in this manner.
If you need to connect the Ps3 console to the router just click the link for my guide. If you have questions please let me know

Thanks for using Fixya.

How to get the AOSS to work?

AOSS stands for Air Station One-Touch Secure System. It is a proprietary method of security that automatically configures the SSID and WEP key for wireless routers made by Buffalo Technology and a wireless device connecting to it. You can use the AOSS setup method with any AOSS compatible router. AOSS capable routers will have a button on the router identified with the letters "AOSS." Review the documentation for your router to verify if it is AOSS capable before continuing with your setup. Routers with AOSS are able to automatically detect the Nintendo DS and reconfigure the settings for both to establish a connection with each other. Routers with this feature will have a button on the router identified with the letters 'AOSS'. If you are not sure if your router is AOSS capable, please refer to your router's manual. Important If you already have other wireless devices configured to use your AOSS access point, you may have to reconfigure them after setting up the Nintendo DS to connect to it. If you feel this may be the case, we recommend using the "Search for an Access Point" function of the Nintendo DS.

What is AOSS ? and how do i use it ?

Basically it is a secure wireless connection that can be setup between 2 compatible wireless devices. There are some wireless routers around that will have an AOSS button on them. You simply press this button and set your games console to use AOSS and they will link automatically. Unless your router has AOSS you will not be able to use this function so standard wireless with a WEP key should be used.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

I can not find the aoss bution on the psp 3000

The AOSS button refers to the reset button on d-link and buffalo wireless routers. On other routers, it is just called the factory reset or wireless on/off button. This is a common question...

Were is the aoss button on the psp

You should find the aoss button near the power on/off button. Older PSP models dont have aoss button in which case you need to set it up with the router.

WHERE IS THE AOSS BUTTON O A PSP

No, there is no AOSS Button on the PSP. You have to have a router. This router is hooked up to your computer and is around a $100.00 but you have to have DSL or something like it to run a phone line though. If you do not have this you can go to a Holiday Inn or Wal-mart parking lot who has this router hooked up already. You can access to the internet there.

How to connect a new psp to the internet

AOSS = Airstation One-touch Secure System

it's a propriatary solution from buffalo technology (www.buffalotech.com) for securely negotiating a wireless link to a base station.

experienced techies may say "big deal." true. but consider the layman who opens their new laptop and wants to link it to their wireless dsl router at home. WEP? AES? TKIP? huh?! enough alphabet soup to scare off the timid.

AOSS removes the user from having to know any of this. it automagically determines and configures the most secure connection. that older laptop that only supports WEP? no problem. AOSS configs the keys. that newer media station in the upstairs bedroom? AOSS will set up everything to use TKIP or AES.

NB- all this requires you have a buffalo tech AOSS wifi router AND a wireless adaptor driver that supports it too.

For connecting the PSP to internet you need a internet connection with wireless router
