Try a hard reset: Unplug the power cord 30 minutes. When you power it back up the internal codes will automatically reset to factory default settings.

Hello There

The problem with your unit may be with the power ON circuit. On most stereos that have a standby light the standby power source is still OK. When you press the power on button the standby light will go out and the stereo will power up(turn on) as you should hear the click of the power control relay. If the unit will not power up you should check the power control relay circuit and/or the main power fuse that protects the main power transformer.
Hope This Helps.

My RCA RTD 206 5 disc changer wont play DVD's. It stays on Disc 3 or just says close. I called the # in the manual foe help, but its no longer in service.

If it plays the same disc without issues, you have a mechanical(or the electronics powering the motors and such) problem. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

It is a 5 disc changer. The drawer will not open and it now has 4 cd's stuck inside the changer. It also will not play any of those "stuck" cd's.

THis happens when the drawer is jammed. Turn off the unit and turn it on and then use the disc skip from the remote so that the cds inside will change and then press the Open button.
