Sony Vaio Desktop VGC-LS1 Clicking sound, Screen doesnt illuminat

I have a Sony All in one desktop Model # VGC-LS1
Been using it for a few years

The computer started giving me the following error when started "Missing operating System" along with Clciking from the hard drive

I then checked the bios and it didnt recognize the hard drive..i restarted the pc a few times and it eventually boots without any problems.

Finally today i took the pc apart , i made sure not to fry anything and when i restarted the pc..i still hear the clicking but the monitor doesnt illuminate now...could it be that something isnt grounded etc inside?

    same problem here too, windows boots fine but white screen.

Clicking/ticking from a hard drive never means anything good. It means that the arm inside the hard drive is crashing into the platters it reads/writes. You need to backup your data immediately, and replace the hard drive.

Need to know how to turn on the web cam found on the sony vaio all-in-one desktop model no. vgc-ls25e?
Install drivers for your specified vaio. you can always download web cam drivers free from the vioa website or just search online for specific drivers of your vaio ie "Webcam drivers for Vaio desktop - vgc-Is25e" search for something like that hopefully they are available for download free of charge. Or If you have the drivers Cd/DVD use it and install the necessary drivers for your webcam.

Clicking noise
the 'clicking' sound might be a defective hard drive, which also explains some of those other issues.seems that perhaps a local computer tech can easily identify that, and then you may need to do a hard drive recovery exercise to recover hard data.

Hello there... Check your PC's volume. You may or someone in your household has accidentally muted it. Unmute it or increase its volume (if you can't find the audio icon in the taskbar, proceed to the control panel - it's there), it maybe too low. Hope this helps... Ai :)

Because it does this a few times and then boots the day may some when it wont give you even one chance. Try Doing full system restore after backing up your personal stored data.Dont waste any time Your boot sector has a problem maybe from a virus, and I have heard some viruses act slowly so you will eventually crash
