If you installed on the primary drive, not a dual-boot to a separate partition, or booted from a Virtual Box software, you will need a Windows 7 installation DVD/Disk and do a re-install of Windows 7 . Select the primary Drive/partition ,Format HDD, follow on-screen instructions.

Hi,
You need to set it up for dual boot. There are loads of tutorials, but here's one;

SOURCE: I can't install my Brother MFC6490CW printer onto
All these three methods involve some specific
code in the printer drivers both in Print server and clients.
Not all printers will have drivers that will
support all 3 ways of using the printer. It appears that not all printer
drivers, written for Windows Vista. If you can't get your network
printer, please try the following steps to bypass the LPT redirection.
1. Install the Vista printer driver on your
Windows Vista computer.
2. During installation, you'll be prompted
to connect the printer to your computer. Choose the option to proceed
with installation without connecting the printer.
3. After installation completes, open the
Printers wizard from the Windows Vista Control Panel.
4. Right click on the entry for the new
printer, and choose Properties.
5. Go to the Ports tab.
6. Click Add Port, select Local Port, then
click New Port.
7. For the port name, enter the network path
and share name of your printer ("\\TheirComputer\TheirPrinter1").
8. Click OK, and verify that the new port is
selected.
9. Click OK to close the printer properties.
SOURCE: usb device not recognized, works only when plugged on hub
All PCs provides power supply via USB port. The power is controlled by electronic circuit. Sometimes when overloaded the circuit burns out (the last controlling transistor, actually). This does not prevent the data communication, because it is separated circuit. But if the device is not powered it cannot communicate. When you plug the USB device to powered USB hub, then all go right.
Are you able to use the USB ports with other USB-powered devices like USB sticks, mouses, cameras? If not, the mentioned circuit is burned out. If they work OK, then your internal USB hub provides less power current than needed. In both cases there is nothing to do. The circuit resides on the mainboard of the laptop and replacement is expencive. Use it with that external USB hub you have.
Testimonial: "that makes sense, although sad that i have to get a powered usb hub somewhere, although i wouldn't know which ones are powered or not, i have this hub that has 4 ports that wouldn't work so i assume that one's not powered. tried to look for small hubs but it doesn't say anything about being powered or not, it'll be quite expensive to buy and try as much as i can. can you suggest a small enough powered hub anywhere? thanks again :)"
