You need to update your video card or your drivers software. Another possibility is you do not have enough RAM Memory installed. Look into how much memory you have and see if you need to upgrade it. I hope this helps.

What is the error message? The CPUs will not overclock on there own, that requires configuration. Some components when not installed properly with cause the computer to boot to a black screen and the fan to speed up dramatically. I've seen memory sticks and display port cables cause this. Check all your hardware and make sure everything is seated properly.

After booting up all I get is a black screen

Try this:

If you're booting up the device and it goes thru the Post test and then goes to a black screen this usually means your OS has crashed.
You will need your Operating system or Recovery Disk.
I hope you've backed up your data and files.

Try this:

I am using a lenovo all in one ideacentre computer. The screen goes black for a few seconds then comes back

The screen goes black then comes back. When it comes back are you able to use the computer without any problems? When does this happen? Most times during the boot process the screen will fade in and out.

If this is not happening when you boot the system it's possible that your lcd screen might be going bad so keep an eye on it.

Wallpaper won't show up.

try a system restore that will bring the laptop back to an earlier time before this happened, if successful your settings should restored. Why did this happen? bad download, a bad device driver, or program compatibility.

It might be good to check whether caps lock is either on or off (in error) when entering your password. lower case or upper case errors/mistakes will lock you out of your account, at times.
