Not draining water sitting in the bottom of the dishasher and not draining out

he float on all dishwashers is on bottom, inside, where the water sits. It controls the water shut off point. They are usually not removavble for cleaning. You simply wipe around them and make sure nothing has accumulated or lodged underneath that would stop if from floating freely.

WEll, look for restricted screens on all pump intakes, and look for kinked drain hose. Some water MUST remain in the bottom, but usually not enough to see.

this is a drain fault. you will probably find the drain spigot under the sink is blocked where the drain hose connects.

start and cancel cycle to drain the water out and check the position of your drain hose.....water is probably backwashing into the d/w, hose should leave the drain and go up to the height of the d/w

sounds like the pump has something in it or the drain line is clogged or kinked some how

first check under sink where drain water goes out,,take drain hose off and see if your clogged,,keep me post onthejob,,i will walk you through...warning care dishwashers are not ground,,

1.attache the drain hose to the bottom of contertop.
2. drain back valve is not work properly.

disconnect it from you drain and put it into a bucket. Then start a program and then cancel it, the begining should start with a drain anyway. Then you will see if any water comes out. You can also take a shop vac after to get the water out to see if there is any stuck there.

If it gravity drains, but the pump does not push out the water.......replace the drain pump. I just repaired an 8-year-old  Frigidaire dishwasher with this very problem, and although it sounded like the pump was operating, it was not....it was just vibrating. I replaced the drain pump and it now works perfectly. I am a service tech with 38 years experience.
