I HOOKED UP A VIZIO SOUND BAR AND THERE WAS NO SOUND. I HOOKED INTO AUDIO LIKE SHOWED BUT IT DIDT WORK WHY? COULD THE AUDIO JACKS BE BAD ON MY TV?DO I HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING ON TV SETTINGS? THE SOUND BAR WORKS, I SWITCH THE IMPUT NOTHING SEAMED TO WORK I EVEN TRYED ALL THE JACKS ON TV AND NOTHING WORKED PLEASE I NEED SOME HELP NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE

Unfortunately, Protron LCD's are very low quality, mine went out in 15months. Your problem may be similar to one I had & I fixed it by cycling the on/off switch next to where the power cord goes in the back of the TV. Also make sure the power cord is inserted right since the "yellow" light indicate powering up but not full power. Hope this fixes it since I couldn't find ANYONE that services/repairs PROTRON brand.

The backlight inverter board may be going bad, or bad power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc.
