Drivers for PCI SIMPLE COMMUNICATIONS CONTROLLER
Have you installed the Audio, Chipset, VGA, drivers ????
Yes, the only driver that shows a yellow mark by it is the SIMPLE COMMUNICATIONS CONTROLLER & then the NVIDIA Network adapter shows a red X beside it.
Not your machine has no driver for PCI, I checked the downloads for your model, so did someone add something to the PCI slot, open the case and look. You can try a few things, you can run windows update, this can find a driver. You can place the drivers you downloaded into a folder, now you must make sure the drivers are extracted, also, if the drivers are in a setup .exe that means you just click on them and they run an install program, if this is the case, you can download a free extractor called 7zip, with 7zip you can extract the .exe or a setup file, this will make the drivers show. Now two things, go to the PCI controller, now RT click on it and pick properties, now go to the driver tab, now pick update driver, then follow update from internet, then try pointing it to the folder where you have the drivers. Try to update the driverfrom the internet first, then try windows update, the last resort is extracting the drivers setup.
I had to ad a networking card into one of the PCI slots in order to connect to the internet. The added PCI card is working fine, but the onboard networking slot is not working & I can't find a driver for the PCI SIMPLE COMMUNICATIONS CONTROLLER for the Emachines W3115 desktop. I've tried updating the driver by clicking on update the driver by way of the internet with NO luck, also tried using Driver Magician & no luck there either.
Go here, download the first driver, it's for all versions, try it.http://www.driverplatform.com/file_w3115...
If you have a network that works and can go online, you have video, you can see a USB devise, you see the HDD installed, you have sound, you can run aplications, just ignore devise MGR, as long as the basic's work your ok. Certain boards have certain things like remote, added coms, if you don't need them, then you don't let the flag bother you. The most important is, chipset, video, sound, network. I'm not sure why Emachines seems to not have all the drivers, but as long as certain fuctions work, your ok.
Thanks for all your help. The previous link that you provided just take you to another driver software that wants you to buy their software for $29.95. I remembered I had a program called Driver Performer downloaded on another PC, I had already bought that program so I transfered it to my Emachines PC & ran it. It found all my issues & now everything is working fine.
Glad you had it. Thanks for the reply. But the live link I posted, when you doenload the network driver, you get a RAR file, once extracted you get the SP53512 driver for network, so I don't know why you got something you had to pay.
