Riccar vacuum Moon 1 just won't turn on, any ideas?

Try the thermal reset again. When you are using the vacuum and then turn it off, the motor is hot and there is no cooling airflow. If the vacuum is close to cutting out through overheating that lack of air will trip it. If you have digital multimeter, you can check the thermal switch for continuity.

I usually just break them off. The new one will literally pop on. Don't forget to take of the hubcap and put it on the new wheel.

The most likely thing is you need a new switch

Take it to your Riccar dealer to determine what is wrong. It may just need cleaned or adjusted.

if there's no blockages and filters all OK it's probably the suction fan that as worn down and not creating as much suction..

If this problem happened after you replaced the filters, check that the filters have been installed correctly because some filters have sensor magnets installed on them and unless they are in their correct position, the machine wont power on.

Are you sure that you get the right sized belt? This is the correct one you need:

Riccar 8800 Belt

try a different power cord, otherwise it is a thermal issue. if it is a thermal issue, call or e-mail tech support, and send it in. otherwise you could get it repaired @ any local vacuum cleaner dealer
