I have a RS643V are the contents in the fridge

The 643V has an issue that it can freeze the water in the line during winter.
You must switch the fridge off until the water starts to run again. Then set the temperature of the fridge up as high as possible in winter. Draw 1 litre of water at least twice a day during winter.

This fixed my problem.

You can set the tempertaure back down in the fridge during summer without a problem.

Water dispenser suddenly stop working

Hi,

We have a Kitchen Aid that did the same thing. It could be that the reservoir tank is frozen or it could be that the line is frozen. We called Kitchen Aid, our fridge is under warranty, and they installed a freez kit over the tank and that solved the problem. The tank might be behind the vegetable trays on your fridge. What brand do you have?

Amana Model #TX20NBW FREEZES food in the fridge AND leaks water

Sounds as if the thermostat setting is too high.
Not a good idea to pour warm water into the fridge while its going, but then again. Most drain tubes exit over the compressor into a container sitting atop it. But I've since learned there are now fridges that don't have compressors now? You should also check the door seals, you can do this with a sheet/piece of newspaper
inserted between the door and fridge, go around both doors, you'll soon know if the seals need replacing.

My daughter's mini fridge has a freezer compartment. Her issue is, if she turns it up high enough so the freezer freezes, the fridge compartment also freezes everything; if she turns it down so that the...

This is a drawback of most mini-fridges. Start by defrosting everything. Then fill ice cube trays with water and keep lowering the setting until the water freezes. Just go a little lower, no more. Fridge should not freeze food. If the fridge stays closed all the time food will freeze. Also if the freezer element gets ice buildup it must be defrosted. Not automatic like home fridge. Most kids today weren't born when the last fridges that had to be defrosted were in service.

GE profile refrigerator line freezes, fan blows but no cold air?

OK, I think I understand. Thing is we need to do a few things to see if your control board is the problem or if the fan or a freon leak is the answer. You need to tell me if this began suddenly or if over a period of time. I have been having trouble lately from Fixya if the customer (YOU) responds to my solutions. Let me know if you want my help and I will see if I get a email letting me know of your response, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Used as beer fridge but contents freezing

The defrost timer in the unit is probably bad take a look at it there should be a timer with a slot in it around the thermostat that you can turn with a common screwdriver the timer should click and go into defrost mode and the unit should shut off, if the unit shuts off and it still doesn't defrost you either have a thermal cut-out that is bad in the freezer next to the heater element or the heater element itself is bad. Let us know :-)

Maytag MZD2766GES side-by-side Refrigerator warm

is it frozen up? do you have any air flow thru the air tunnel from the freeze to the fridge? Check your air flow with the door switch pushed in. also check to see if the damper door opens... 1) if it is iced up you have a defrost problem. most likely a defrost timer. Turn off or unplug untill all the ice has melted off the evaporator back of the freezer..plug back in and it will work fine untill the ice builds up again. if this work you do have a defrost problem.. if not let me know and we can go deeper...
