Bosch Integrated Dishwasher pumps even when open

SGV59T03GB. According to the answer to a similar question, the problem is that the anti-flood mechanism is jammed, or the base is actually flooded. However, the cure recommended for that doesn't seem to apply to my machine, as I can't see how the front panel below the door could be removed. Presumably, I have to get to the anti-flood switch to get it back in kilter, but how?

Neff Integrated Dishwasher. The pump on my dishwasher won't stop running!

That is the classic behaviour of a flood sensor being wet. You said 'anti flood float'. I know them as a small sensor in a tray under the machine and above the floor in a plastic pan. If it is that where your float is, then you need a service call to diagnose. It is likely to be a circuit board issue and they are expensive so need proper eyes-on trained diagnosis.

Bosch SHU runs even when the door is open, what do i need?

Hi Jeffrey,

This depends what you mean by "runs". If the dishwasher continues with a wash cycle - i.e. circulating water - with the door open, the simple answer is that you have a defective door microswitch.

However, I suspect what you perceive to be the dishwasher running, is actually the drain pump running continuously. This happens when the anti-flood protection system has been activated and continues even when the door is opened. The simplest way to check is to open the door (while it's "running") and pour some water into the tub. If the water drains away immediately, this shows the drain pump is running and the anti-flood protection has been activated.

This may be due to water having leaked into the base of the dishwasher, but it could be as simple as a stuck or defective float-switch.

Please try the simple test above then post back for further assistance. If you're planning to investigate or repair this yourself, you're going to need a Torx T20 screwdriver and a multi-meter would be useful as well.

I have a Bosch Exxcel dishwasher which runs the drain pump constantly even with the door open and despite there being now water in the machine at the cycle wont start. I have checked the warer amtrix and...

I am not sure about this model but most models run a drain cycle for a set period at the start of a wash cycle and then move on to normal filling and cycle of machine provided the various switches are at the low level it will carry on to its set cycle,is the apartment or flood switch ok?

My bosch dishwasher does not fill with water (although it drains)

most bosch have the inlet valve at the end of the fill pipe and it has an anti-flood device.
try turning off the water, take off the fill pipe then reconnect it and see if this works.
taking off the fill pipe resets the anti-flood device

BOSCH DISHWASHER SGS 6312GB/13 , FD 7810

You have a leak underneath and it is switching the anti flood switch on. Tip the dish washer back at a 45 deg angle, you will probably get water teak out the back, stand it back upright and try it. although it will probably work you will need to look underneath and find where the leak is coming from, my guess is its the wash pump and will cost around 100 pound for an engineer to repair.

Bosch dish washer SGS56E02GB

anti flood device has been activated, this means you have water in the base of appliance. most likely a leak, or if you have been using 3 in 1 tablets, and rinse aid this will over foam appliance and foams leaks into base.. try tipping d/w back to let water out of base..then try d/w again... if anti flood activates again...call an engineer.. ps check big nut that secures salt container to base of d/w, it can come loose which will cause water to leak into base ally
