Try to enter your boot screen, usually by pressing F8 when booting up. Then go to your boot priority list and make sure it is booting from your hard drive. I'm not a fan of e machines, it is very possible that the power surge caused some memory or physical errors.

My Estate Washing Machine ETW4300TQ0 washing machine won't start

Sometimes when there is a power outage, it causes a 'brownout', and trips the breaker. Check it by switching the breaker to off and then back on again.

It that doesn't fix it, you will need a Whirlpool service call or phone them on the number in the manual

540 wont boot up

The hard drive could be corrupt, this will cause the operating system to run the error checking. If you had a virus, and it infected any windows files, windows will check the files, but if it can\'t fix them, then it won;t run. You can try to enter safe mode, tapping F8 at boot, you should see a option to repair or restore. If not see if you can enter Safe Mode.

In safe mode you can go to start button, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.

You can also get a windows install disk, same version as you have, and put in the disk and hit F11, and boot from the disk, and run a repair from it.

You really should go to the website Avira, and download the rescue disk, burn it to a CD. This will run a virus scan of the hard drive before windows in DOS.
If there is a virus, it will kill it. But there is a chance it can\'t clean the virus and windows won\'t start.

The other option is to just erase the hard drive, not format, erase it with a program like Active kill disk. Then reinstall windows, all the drivers.

Won't turn on after power outage

It is hard to diagnose a set if I don't have a brand name or model number. But if this happened after a power surge, then you could just have a blown fuse. If the fuse doesn't fix, then your problem lies in the power supply somewhere.

Gateway MP8708 Won't boot past BIOS and won't boot into CD/USB/Safe Mode on XP - Blank screen with keyboard dead - Num locks on and wireless light

Windows won't start up? Well, try this Download Tenorshare Data Recovery from its offical site and install it. Burn it into CD/DVD, or USB flash, put into the computer you need to repair, Bios setting. It can make sure your important data will not lose. Best of luck

After a power outage, the lid is locked and won't open. I tried running a new cycle but won't run either. Any suggestions. Thanks, Jan

This is a common problem, often associated with a momentary power failure when the controller doesn't get time to reset and return to an idle state before the machine gets power back and it gets "confused". Regardless of the cause, you will almost certainly find that unplugging from the mains (Not just powering off on the button, as some door locks have a sneak circuit, even when the power is turned off at the button) and leaving the machine undisturbed for a full 20 minutes will allow a reset, the door lock will disengage and all will be well when you power back up.
Additionally, on older machines with analog program selectors, turn the selector to an end of program setting before you power it off.

Hello i hava aq-see qt426 surveillance system and after a power outage it won't boot, keeps rebooting and freezes on 'system initializing" screen. do i have to format the HD or it could be...

Hello,

you need to format the HD. The sudden power outage is the reason the unit is freezing. As a matter of fact, the HD is the cause of the freeze. The HD has not been able to recover from the sudden power outage.

Format the HD and hopefully the unit should be back to normal.

But if unit is not in order after formatting the HD, please let me know for further direction.

Good luck.

WE HAD A POWER OUTAGE.NOW MY KEURIG WONT TURN ON. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THANK YOU.

Hi,first you need to check if fuse has not been blown out.Because when POWER comes back after an outage there is a surge voltage flowing through electrical lines. It is advisable that when their is a POWER outage you have to turn off your FUSE box or SAFETY box to make sure that it won'tdamage appliances when POWER comes back>Technically when POWER SOURCE or SUPPLY has been shut off for a period of time. When POWER is back, expectantly there is an abnormal flow of current/line; current will not be as stable until a period of time..AC current behaves like a wave, values changes from time to time especially when POWER SOURCE has just been TURNED ON..So better turn off FUSE BOX when experiencing POWER OUTAGE so that when power comes back SURGE VOLTAGE wont flow within the circuit>Hope this helps..
