D2X won't power down!!

My D2X is behaving very strangely... it had been working perfectly up until this morning; when I tried to use it I could only take 15 images before it refused to take any more. I thought that it was maybe a memory card issue and switched the camera off although I couldn't actually get it to power down until I removed the battery. On reviewing the images it told me that the 'File does not contain image data'. More in hope than anything else I then tried an alternative battery and lens and I noticed that until I actually took an image I could power off and on the camera but then it would only let me take the 15 images again, and wouldn't power off again. Also, when I tried to read the memory card to see what had been recorded it was blank.

Sounds like there is a problem with the image compression board. Send it to Nikon - replacing the board requires programming with Nikon's proprietary program.

Get on to Nikon and let them know about it, it is a common problem with the S4. They are fixing the 3500 and others for free.

SOURCE: "File contains no image data"

Try a new SD card. SD cards do fail.
The socket inside the camera maybe no good - bad connections.
The camera may have liquid damage - this causes all kinds of weird issues.
I try the cards in my computer reader. If they can be used all day there (I load and unload stuff randomly all day to test and then put the card in a drawer for a few days and check what I loaded later), the fault is likely the camera.

I tried to start my car this morning. There was no electricity at all and i mean at all, The power locks won't even work nothing. The car won't start, it's perfectly silent when you turn

You would need to use a meter or test light to find out what exactly is dead. It could be a short in the fuse box, or a bad connection in the harness, or at the battery or starter.
You may need a repair book or shop manual to get the wiring diagrams.
If nothing on the truck works, you would start at the battery cables and work back to the key switch.

Why won't my groomer let me stay and watch while they groom my dog? I think it's very strange that they ask me to leave.

What I gather from the secretary at my vets office is that they request owners to leave because their presence makes the dogs act up more and squirm around.

My Sony Vaio PCG-61611L won't power on, the battery is fully charged and AC adapter is working (green light goes on). Please help!

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

My powerbass 150 amp was running perfectly one day, shut it off by the rockerswitch on the back to go to bed. Got up next morning, turned it on by the rockerswitch and no sound anymore, after about 5...

The problem with amps is they generate lots of heat when they are working and semi-conductors don't like heat, so overtime they fail. In your case either somekind of protection circuit has stopped an overload or one of the main semi-conductors that does the work has failed. It's off to the repair shop with it!

Nikon D2X Not powering up anymore - shorted/blown DC board?

do a master reset, holding WB and ISO buttons down together for more than two seconds will reset camera settings.

then replace the clock battery, let it sit with no batteries for a bit.

try to plug it into an external power supply: EH6 if you have one.
