Maytag Atlantis MAV7600AWQ Washer. Delayed fill

Maytag Atlantis MAV7600AWQ Washer. Doesn't fill right away when starting the fill cycle. The water inlet valve has power and hums, but it takes about 3 minutes before it starts filling. At that point water is at full flow and the temperature is correct and the rest of the wash cycle works fine. Suspect inlet valve, but want expert opinion before replacing a $60 part.

Screens are clean. Once water starts flowing the flow is normal.

Won't start

if it filled proplerly and won't start now, it sounds like the door switch is broken, there could be something wrong with the rest of the electrical systems, however i would suggest the switch first. If there is a lot of noise like its trying to run, then its probably your transmission.

Will not start wash cycle

Sound like the lid switch has went out , you should hear it click when the lid is close to an inch of being closed , they are un-expensive and easy to replace and they go out often from use. Easy to find online with your real model number located under the lid.

The washer with the grind noise is a main bearing going out and may be covered under warr. through maytag.

Wash cycle will not start

you may have leaned on lid and damaged the lid switch , so the washer thinks the lid is open all the time unit will fill then stop with lid up.
