What is the replacement fuse for a Ryobi 18v charger?

I have a Ryobi 18v battery charger (charger no. 1423701) and have blown the internal fuse. The label on the charger indicates the input is 120V AC 60Hz 80 watts and the output is 19V DC 2.2A. What is the replacement fuse required?

The fuse in mine said 4 amp. I have also used. You can use a 4 amp or lower to replace the original one that blew.

Good Luck

Can I use my old Ryobi charger (#1423701) to charge my new Ryobi LITHIUM battery?

If the old charger has a deep-uncharge-protection contact and was also made for Li-ION ther is in any case a marketing technical design by a notch to protect the battery to place on the charger if this cells are not correct.

Is there 2 type of battery chargers for ryobi one+ and lithium 18v one +

I just went through this with Porter Cable 18V but I can't say it is the same for Ryobi. On the PC, all 18V batteries are interchangable on the tools, but the charging needs are different. A dedicated NiCad charger can't shouldn't be used for liOn but the later chargers will work for either battery.
Ryobi offers an 18V upgrade:

RYOBI 18V LI ION ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DISASTER PLEASE HELP

I know this is an older question but I would not recommend using these batteries for your inverter. While they are powerful for their size, LiOn batteries require careful metering and control of both charging and discharge cycles and do not last long if fully discharged (IE: running an inverter until they are dead). You would get much better performance from a deep cycle lead acid battery, which is designed to be discharged fully.

If you were to use the drill batteries for your project, you'd want to get someone with electronics experience to wire a connection to the Ryobi charger to accept the lower voltage input from the solar PV (instead of 120V) so the charger can regulate the charge rate. You'd need to make sure the solar panel voltage is within the same range as the charger's low voltage side (never tested, but guess around 20-24VDC). In addition, you'd need to make sure the inverter is monitored and turned off before the batteries shut down (their internal circuit protection shuts them down around 10% IIRC). Don't rely on the battery to protect itself, that is a sure fire way to ruin your batteries (no pun:-).

Hope this helps.

I bought 2 P103 lithium batteries and they will not take a charge from my one + (p110) charger. I was informed that these components are all interchangeable. Will the P103s work with the blue 18v ryobi...

That is true the One+ 18V Li-Ion battery packs will work in any One+ 18V Ryobi tool. However the Lithium ion batteries will not charge in the original P110 NiCd charger. You will need one of the the new series Ryobi One+ 18V "dual chemistry" chargers for that. The will charge both types of battery packs.

I have a ryobi 18V battery and the only charger I have is a ryobi 14.4V. Can I charge the 18V battery on that charger?

Hello, unless the charger specifies that it charges 18 volt, it will only charge a 14.4v properly. If the battery fits the charger physically, then the most you might get an 18v to charge at is 15 or 16 volts. Your battery life will be shorter and you might damage the charger. I hope this helps.

Can you charge ryobi lithium batteries in a regular ryobi charger?

NO! Never charge lithium batteries in a charger designed for nickle based batteries like the NiHi your old charger was meant for. Ryobi did design the new Lithium charger to be backwards compatible so you can charge your older 18V NiHi batteries in the Lithium 18V charger.
Also note, NEVER miss-match the voltage, for example, make sure you are not trying to charge 12V batteries in an 18V charger unless the manufacturer has specifically stated that the charger is capable of multiple voltages.
