My computer may be a victim of software counterfeiting..the copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

This just means that your software is a copy of the real software. If you bought it from someone and not directly from Microsoft, you may have bought a used serial code. If this is the case, you should definitely work it out between whoever you bought it from.
If you can tell me what software it is, I may be able to help you more.

There is actually a way to bypass the comment " your computer may be a victim of software counterfeiting..the copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation".
try this:
1.Kill the process wgatray.exe in Windows TaskManager (Select it then right click and select End task) and restart Windows XP in safe mode. Now delete the following files:

Delete WgaTray.exe from c:\windowss\system32
Delete WgaTray.exe from c:\windows\system32\dllcache

Start Windows Registry editor and delete the folder "WGALOGON" located in the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinlogonNotify.
Delete all references in your registry to WgaTray.exe (repeat search using F3 function key).

Worked for most people.Check it out...

Try this site to download crack for genuine windows validation:
http://depositfiles.com/en/files/2951056

or if it really worst and your computer is lock by the program then you can re install your operating system then after you finished installing your new Operationf System then diable the Automatic Updates  by accessing to your control panel then click Security Center then Automatic Updates and click diable or turn off Automatic Updates. In that way you can prevent your computer from downloading Updates from Microsoft and prevent downloads of other Windows validation program.

You may be a victim of software counterfeiting.

Just click validate, enter the activation # and reactivate.
It does this if the activation file gets damaged,or if using pirated software.(if this is pirated software, you will need to get a genuine copy)
