Dishwasher "SE64A630GB" was working fine 2 weeks ago. Tried it again last Friday, the start button is not coming on, can't seem to press any of the programmes. HELP, please!. Anticipated thanks,

As I said above, it was working perfectly well 2 weeks ago. Not in use on a daily basis. Loaded it last Friday and it would not work: the ON button/light is not working, nor are any of the 3 programmes.

SOURCE: No power for my Siemans SL84A dishwasher

Not a solution but a cause for my DW having the same problem. One of the four wires going to the On/Off switch shorted and burned. I never lost power to the unit, as far as I know there is no reset button of fuse. I rewired the unit and ran several washes without overheating or shorting.

Hi Steve

E24 error normally indicates failure to drain, the first thing to check is that the water is actually being supplied to the appliance and is turned on. If it is then check the water inlet valve, if the valve tests fines then clean the drain pump assembly completely as that might be clogged causing this issue. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Cannot push the start button of my wirlpool dishwasher (WDT710PAYM3)

If you can get to the motor, unfortunately, you may have to pull the dishwasher out to get to it unless you can access it from the adjoining cabinet. The motor may have a red button on the back of it which is the "Reset" button. Press it in and if it clicks, you have reset the motor. I hope this helps, good luck.

Hi

It may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump, please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset. If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Did you check the outlet with a voltmeter? If you did and have 120Volts then it sounds like your latch switch could be defective which would kill the power to the unit.

But remember that in most houses that the outlet under the sink is wired for a garbage disposal where the top outlet is controled by a switch and the bottom one is wired for the dishwasher.

Hotpoint Dishwasher

have you tried adjusting the feet on the front of the washer so it is tilted back slightly .This will stop the water from coming over the little lip on the front of the machine. Some dishwashers also use a little amount of water in the bottom when drying asthis helps to curculate the heat ; leave the washer to complete it's cycle and it should beep to let you know when it is finished

UNLIKELY YOU HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM. USE AN EXTENSION AND TRY ANOTHER PLUG AS WELL AS CHECK YOUR DOOR LATCH.CLOSE DOOR FIRMLY AS THIS CONTROLS POWER GOING TO THE VARIOUS COMPONENTS.
