Dimplex duo storage heater making clicking noise and also the programmer dimplex PX4 is no longer working

Iv sorted the problem. Iv had 3 dimplex heaters fitted and the one in the living room was making a shocking and most annoying clicking noice when the fan stopped and started... it was annoying to hell.... At the bottom of the heater left hand side I loosened (just two turns) of screw in the grill. My heater has been perfectly silence every since. The screw was far to tight.

I have a Dimplex Ritz electric 2000w heater that is only working on the low 1000w setting. When the high setting is selected it auto turns off and there was a funny smell which I am assuming a fuse has...

Yes, it can be repaired, if Dimplex still stocks that particular heating element. It's not to difficult to replace the heating element, just mark all the wires before removing the old one. Also, it will require removing the logs inside the heater, because you will need to turn the stove upside to do the removal and replacement. Contact Dimplex Technical Support at 1-888-346-7539.

Hope this helps you.

Hi - I have an old Glen Dimplex CLX (I think is the name) wall heater. The switch for turning on the heater broke 2 days ago. It sounded like a fuse blew. How on earth can I get this fixed?!

Hi,

You say the heater is 'old', so I assume that it's out of its 2 year warranty? Are you referring to the wall-switch or the switch on the heater itself?

The customer service department will be able to give you guidance on finding the problem and resolving it. If you call 0845 600 5111 and have your series number (top left of the unit) and model (CXL) to hand they will be able to help you.

P.S. Please don't try to take the heater apart or remove it from the wall unless you have experience in working on storage heaters, as the unit is VERY heavy!

Dimplex oil heater FR24. 2400W oil heater. shorts fuse box

I would suggest that the element may have absorbed some mloisture whilst being left in storage for a period of time. You may need to take it to a local repairer to see if they can dry out the element.

If there is moisture in the element it is not safe to use, hence it trips your circuit breaker.

I have two dimplex XLN storage heater, it was working last year but after someone put damp clothes on it, they are not working, could you help me please

It sounds as though it has tripped the internal cut-out - this can be manually reset quite easily by yourself. It would probably be best to ring Dimplex customer services on 0845 6005111 to get them to talk you through it step-by-step though.

My dimplex night storage heater has stopped working.

...not too sure of your model but all dimplex heaters to my knowledge have an 'overload' cut out built into the system. Ours is more up to date but still goes now and then, problem is you have to get into the electrics and click the reset button, normally near or on the thermostat it's self, could be a small white plastic button, or a piece metal sticking up that needs pressing down to reset...but please before attempting make sure that you TURN OFF THE ELECTRIC / REMOVE THE FUSE/ WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO CUT ANY CHANCE OF AN ELECTRIC SHOCK!!!...because I can and will get you if it can ;-)... if your not a competent electrician please get hold of one !... good luck.

Early / Late boost in dimplex storage heater

The output setting if turned off isn't adjusting the temperature in the room automatically if its off,and by turning the output up is like turning up the heat.By turning the output switch on you can let the heater automatically control the heat.Still you need to monitor the adjustments to your liking and then you know how hot it will be when you come back into that room.
